KNRUHS reopens registration window for MBBS, BDS admissions 2026 under competent authority quota

Telangana: The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has reopened the online registration window for admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2026-27, following several requests from candidates.
The registration process, which had earlier closed on August 12, 2026, has now been reopened till 6:00 PM tomorrow, i.e. August 20, 2026.
According to the notification issued by the KNRUHS in this regard, the reopened registration applies to admissions in Government and private medical and dental colleges affiliated with KNRUHS under the Competent Authority Quota.
Candidates who have qualified the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) exam for the academic year 2026 by securing the prescribed cut-off score or above can submit their online applications during the reopened window. The University has advised eligible candidates who missed the earlier registration deadline to complete the process within the revised timeline.
The reopened schedule also allows candidates to upload the required certificates along with their applications. Registration can be completed through the designated counselling portal from 2:00 PM on August 18, 2026, up to 6:00 PM on August 20, 2026.
KNRUHS has clarified that candidates who have already submitted their applications during the earlier registration period do not need to register again.
For eligibility criteria, NEET UG cut-off requirements, documents, registration fee and other admission-related conditions, candidates have been asked to refer to the earlier notification and prospectus issued on August 4, 2026.
The reopening gives NEET UG-qualified candidates another opportunity to register for the Telangana state counselling process for MBBS and BDS admissions under the Competent Authority Quota before the revised deadline.
