Maha CET Cell notifies on Cancellation of Mop-up Round 1 session of NEET PG counselling, Details
Maharashtra: Through a recent notice, the Government of Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has informed about the Cancellation of Mop-up Round 1 of NEET PG counselling.
The state conselling body has referred to the decision of the Medical Counselling Committee which has cancelled All India Quota MOP UP Round of PG. In view of this, the State Quota -MOP UP Round-1 conducted during the period 26/03/2022 to 30/03/2022 ' STANDS CANCELLED', said the Maha CET cell notice.
In this regard, candidates and Colleges should note the following.
1. The allotment/admission done in Mop Up Round-1 of State PG Counselling which were made during the period of 26/03/2022 to 30/03/2022 will deemed to be 'CANCELLED'
2. The students who were selected during previous round i.e. State Counselling Round-2 and had joined/retained status as on 07/03/2022 is restored.
3. Candidates who had canceled their seat and now wish to join the allotted seat of State Counselling can re-join the respective-- College/Institute on their previously allotted seats between 02/04/2022 to 06/04/2022 upto 05:00 p.m., by submitting all original documents and paying requisite fees by Demand Draft or Cheque. The concerned Colleges/Institutes should take note of this and do the needful in this respect.
4. Candidates of Round-2 who had cancelled their seat as per Notice No.08 and now wish to participate in AIQ MOP UP Round or who do not wish to continue in State Counselling may ignore point no.03 above and need not re-join the allotted college.
5. As per the Rule no. 19.1 of NEET-PG-2021 Information Brochure of Maharashtra State the prescribed date to Cancel/Resign a seat allotted during Round -1 or Round -2 of State Counselling is 06/04/2022 upto 05:00 pm. If a candidate resigns a seat allotted during Round -1 or Round -2 of State Counselling, such a candidate will not be eligible for any Subsequent CAP Round(s) of NEET-PG-2021 State Quota Counselling.
6. However candidate should note that as per Hon'ble Supreme Court Judgement, candidates having joined status at the end of Round-2 of State Counselling will not be Eligible for AIQ MOP UP Round and hence cancellation will not be allowed for such candidates after prescribed date i.e. 06/04/2022 upto 05:00 pm
7. As per rule No.14.13 of NEET-PG-2021 Information Brochure of State of Maharashtra, the candidate who have joined during Round-1 or Round -2 of State Counselling and Pursuing and not filled status retention, will be eligible for betterment during Subsequent Round (s) of Counselling of NEET-PG-2021 State Quota Seats.
8. A Fresh Mop Up Round of State PG Counselling 2021 will be conducted in due course of time for which the Schedule will be announced on our website soon.
9. Since Mop Up Round-1 of State PG Counselling stands cancelled, the candidates who have taken admission in Mop Up Round-1 of State PG Counselling can take their original certificates back from their respective allotted colleges.
10. The colleges are directed to return the original certificates of the candidates without hassle and in a time bound manner. The Fees/ DD/ Cheque should be Return/ Refund to Mop Up Round-1 candidates so that the candidates are not put to any inconvenience.
