Maha CET Cell releases round 3 NEET PG counselling schedule, details

Maharashtra: The State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell), Maharashtra, has released the tentative schedule for CAP Round 3 of the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 State Quota counselling.
The schedule details the key dates for registration, merit list publication, choice filling, seat allotment, and admission cancellation.
As per the schedule, candidates allotted seats in CAP Round 2 will be allowed to cancel their admission with forfeiture of security deposit but without penalty until January 3, 2026, up to 5:30 pm. Following this, the online registration window for CAP Round 3 will be open from January 4 to January 6, 2026 (up to 11:59 pm, server time).
During the same period, candidates must complete payment of the non-refundable registration fee of ₹3,000 along with the applicable security deposit through the online payment gateway. This registration requirement applies only to candidates who either failed to register earlier or whose security deposit was forfeited as per the rules.
Meanwhile, candidates are also required to upload all necessary coloured scanned original documents in PDF format between January 4 and January 6, 2026, after successful payment. The CET Cell will publish the general list of registered candidates, including In-service, NRI, and PwD categories, on January 7, 2026. Below is the detailed schedule-

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES
1 Candidates have free exit only in CAP-1; subsequent rounds onwards, there is no facility of free exit.
2 Candidates should ensure they have all the necessary documents for the category claim and they should be in the prescribed format only. Especially for EWS candidates, is only valid and will not be considered for admission for State Quota seats.
4 Candidate should ascertain the fees for the unaided private college well in advance through the concerned college website or the FRA website before filling up the choices.
5 Candidates claiming PWD quota should have a certificate issued by any one of the authorised boards in Online format. A certificate from any other authority will not be considered.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING CAP-3 REGISTRATION FOR CANDIDATES
1 Candidate who had failed to register for CAP previously can register for CAP-3.
2 Candidates who were allotted a seat in CAP-2 but did not join/not reported/cancelled the admission need to register again if they wish to participate in CAP-3 by paying registration fees and security deposit.
