Maha CET Extends NEET PG Round 2 Seat Resignation Deadline, CAP 3 Counselling Postponed
Maharashtra- Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (MAHACET) has extended the state National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 seat resignation deadline for Round 2 MD/MS admissions. The seat resignation deadline has been extended to vacate the seat owing to the extension of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) NEET PG seat resignation deadline for AIQ seats.
Students who have been allotted seats in the Maharashtra NEET PG 2024 Round 2 counselling process and wish to vacate their allotted seats can now surrender their seats till January 8, 2025. To access the resignation window students have to enter their login credentials.
Along with this, the authorities have also postponed the CAP 3 schedule. Hence, the Maharashtra NEET PG CAP 3 counselling schedule has been postponed till further notice.
In this regard, MAHACET also issued a notice informing that “the State CET Cell had declared the last date for the resignation of Round - 2 seats. However, MCC has extended the resignation date of AIQ Round - 2 upto 08 January 2025. In accordance with the MCC schedule, the last date to resign the Round 2 seat of state counselling is now extended. Also, the schedule for CAP - 3 is also postponed. The revised schedule will be published in due course”.
As per the MCC notice of resignation, below are the NEET PG Counselling Resignation guidelines for the candidates who are willing to resign from their Round 1 or Round-2 allotted seats-
1 Students will have to visit the designated college to resign their seats.
2 Candidates who got exalted in the round 2 process and received the upgraded seat but wish to resign from their seat can also leave their allotted seat.
3 Candidates who have been allotted a seat in round 2 but now wish to resign can vacate their allotted seat with forfeiture of the security deposit.
4 Candidates have to ensure that their resignation letter is generated online by the allotted college.
Meanwhile, MCC has started the seat allotment process from today and will end tomorrow i.e. on January 3, 2025. After this, the seat allotment result will be declared on January 4, 2025. Candidates who have been allotted seats can report to the institute from January 6 to January 13, 2025. Thereafter, verification of the data of candidates included by the institutes sharing the data with MCC will be done from January 14 to January 15, 2025.
