Manipur DHS issues notice on PG medical admissions in RIMS, JNIMS, LGBRIMH

Imphal: The Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Manipur, has issued notifications for candidates of State Level Postgraduate Medical Counselling 2025.
The advisory is aimed at facilitating PG admissions for eligible in-service doctors to courses offered at the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), and the LGB Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH), Tezpur.
In continuation of its earlier memorandum dated November 26, 2025, the DHS has asked all Medical Superintendents, Chief Medical Officers (CMOs), Heads of Offices (HOOs), and Programme Officers (POs) under the Health Department to actively circulate the latest communications issued by the Dean (Academics), RIMS, and the Convenor of the State Level Medical PG Counselling Committee 2025–26, who is also the Dean (Academics), JNIMS. These communications relate to Manipur Health Service (MHS) officers appointed on a regular basis who are seeking admission to PG medical courses through state-level counselling.
The Directorate has clearly instructed that completed application forms, along with all required enclosures, should be forwarded directly to Room No. 224 at the Directorate of Health Services, Manipur, no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026. Officials have been urged to ensure that applications are complete and submitted on time to avoid unnecessary delays or rejection.
In a separate directive, the DHS has also invited applications for one MD (Psychiatry) seat at LGBRIMH, Tezpur. Eligible in-service candidates who have qualified NEET PG 2025 and are working under the Health Department, Manipur, can apply through their respective controlling authorities. These applications, supported by bio-data and relevant documents, must also reach the Directorate by the same deadline.
The Health Directorate has stressed the importance of strict adherence to timelines and has advised all concerned authorities and candidates to act promptly. Timely submission, the DHS noted, will help ensure a fair and efficient PG counselling process for the 2025 academic session, benefiting both institutions and aspiring medical professionals.
