MBBS Admissions: Maha CET Cell releases schedule for Mop Up, Institutional Level Round of NEET Counselling

MBBS Admissions: Maha CET Cell releases schedule for Mop Up, Institutional Level Round of NEET Counselling

Mumbai: Through a recent notice, the Maha CET Cell has released the schedule for MoP UP and Institutional Level Round of NEET COunselling for MBBS and BDS admissions this academic year.

The vacancies of MBBS/BDS course after last date of joining for MoP UP- II Round i.e. 07/01/2021 will be filled by Commissioner and Competent Authority, State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State as per schedule prescribed by DGHS & DCI respectively.
The admission process for MBBS/BDS Course will continue as per schedule given below:
Schedule for Institutional Level Round only for Private Unaided Medical/ Dental Colleges

Publication of 2nd selection list from the waitlisted candidates of respective quota wise list on notice board and website of respective Colleges. The link of college website will be available on State CET Cell Website.

As per rule no.12 in Information Brochure of NEET-UG-2020 the prescribe last date to cancel the admission of Medical courses is 07/01/2021.
1) For MBBS/BDS Course:
As per Notice No.13, dated 30/12/2020 the prescribed cut-off date for cancellation for MBBS/BDS course was 07/01/2021 upto 05.00 pm. Now the cut-off date for BDS course only is extended upto 12/01/2021 05.00 pm.
NOTE: - If a candidate cancels his / her admission after this date, he/she has to pay penalty as per rule 14.3
PENLTY FOR LAPSE OF SEAT (MBBS/BDS COURSE): Any candidate responsible for lapse of MBBS/BDS seat will have to pay Non Refundable a penalty of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupee Ten Lacs Only). This penalty is applicable to all those candidates who do not join during last round or cancel a seat after last round of admission. This penalty is also applicable to any candidate resigning a seat after cut-off date for MBBS/BDS course or also fails to complete the course, irrespective of admission quota of the candidate.
If a candidate is upgraded during any Mop UP Round from Private to Government college (For MBBS/BDS) and from Private Dental College to Private Medical College during institutional level round, then there will be no penalty clause applicable to him/her for resignation/cancellation of seat provided he/she joins the selected seat. The Vacancy created due to this resignation/ cancellation at private Dental colleges can be filled by waiting list candidate's during Institutional Level Round after taking permission of State CET Cell.
 Procedure of Institutional Round for MBBS/BDS course at Private Unaided/Minority Medical/Dental Colleges for Academic Year 2020-21.
1. Institutional Round is only for Private Unaided/Minority Medical/Dental colleges and for seats remaining vacant after MOP UP-II round.
2. It will be responsibility of the institute to verify and ascertain eligibility of the candidate as per respective Central Council rules before admitting the candidate even if name appear in ELIGIBLE list.
3. The list of ELIGIBLE candidates for the institutional round will be published on the website on 08/01/2021 as per schedule. The separate list will be published for State Quota and Institutional Quota for MBBS/BDS course respectively. The link of official website of colleges will be given on State CET Cell website.
4. All eligible candidates registered with State CET Cell who have paid Rs.1000/- or Rs.6000/- can apply for admission on vacant State Quota seats. All eligible candidates registered with State CET Cell who have paid Rs.5000/- or Rs.6000/- can apply for admission on vacant Institutional Quota seats. (Provided their name is mentioned in the list of eligible candidates)
5. For institutional round eligible and interested candidates should approach to the Dean/Principal of the respective colleges within prescribed time and submit separate application for State Quota and institutional quota in person or any person. Such type of applications should not be submitted in the State CET Cell in person or email. Such type of applications submitted in State CET Cell will not be considered valid for any institutional level admission process.
6. A) For Vacant State Quota (85%) Seats: Please refer rule no 10.11.1. For admission of vacant constitutional reserve seats please refer rule no 9.4.1. of information brochure NEET UG-2020.
B) For Vacant Institutional Quota (15%) Seats: Please refer rule no 10.11.2. of information brochure NEET UG-2020.
7. At the time of admission during institutional round a candidate should submit all his original documents along with requisite fees in the form of DD/Cheque during prescribed time limit.
8. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to submit all his original documents and requisite fees at the time of admission.
9. All the candidates already admitted for BDS/ BAMS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BPTH/ BOTH/ BASLP/ B P&O/ B.Sc. Nursing courses are also ELIGIBLE for institutional level round for MBBS course.
10. All the candidates already admitted for BAMS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BPTH/ BOTH/ BASLP/ B P&O/ B.Sc. Nursing courses are also ELIGIBLE for institutional level round for BDS course.
11. Candidate who have joined their allotted MBBS/BDS seat of All India Quota/ Central University of Round-2 and candidates who have joined a seat in Deemed Universities in Round-2 will not be eligible to participate in Institutional round of counselling as per Notice No. U11011/04/2020-MEC Published by Directorate General Health of Services, New Delhi on 09/12/2020.
12. The admission process should be completed before Cut-off date prescribed for each course that is declared by respective Central Council and Competent Authority from time to time.
13. All the admissions are subject to approval of Admissions Regulating Authority after Cut-off date. The College should upload the information about admitted candidate in College Feedback Module of State CET Cell.
