MBBS, BDS 2025: BFUHS revises Round 2 NEET Counselling schedule, check FAQs

Faridkot: The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has announced a revised schedule for the 2nd round of NEET UG-2025 state counseling for Medical and Dental courses in Punjab.

The updated schedule includes important dates for the display of provisional merit lists, submission of objections, seat surrender, choice filling, and allotment results. Qualified candidates must personally appear at the Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot, for objections and document verification, and adhere to the deadlines to secure their admission. The counseling process aims to ensure a smooth and merit-based admission for candidates participating in the second round.

The notice mentioned that the MCC has released the schedule for states counselling under NEET UG-2025 on 14.09.2025. In consonance and in continuation to the schedule, the rest of the schedule for 2nd round of NEET UG 2025 Medical/Dental Punjab State online counselling is hereby revised as under:

1. Display of Provisional Merit List of candidates who will submit willingness to participate in 2nd round of online counseling. 16.09.2025
2. The last date/time of submission of objections to provisional merit list (if any) by the NEET UG aspirants Note: Objections can be submitted only by personal appearance/visit alongwith relevant documents/record in Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot 17.09.2025 (upto 02.00 PM)
3. In case there is a change in the Provisional Merit List after considering objections, the same will be displayed on the University website 18.09.2025
4. Date of Surrender/Resignation of Round-1 joined seat with free exit Note: Candidate has to submit application to the Principal of concerned College to enable them to surrender the seat on the online portal so that vacancy be updated automatically. Thereafter, no request for surrendering the seat will be accepted. Any request/application received through email/by post will not be entertained and candidate will be considered as joined and rules of 2nd Round will apply. 18.09.2025 (Upto 05.00 PM)
5. Dates for filling/submitting online choices/ preferences of course/college/quota/category through online portal Note:- The candidates who have already submitted choices/preferences may review again as per latest vacancy/willingness 18.09.2025 to 19.09.2025 (upto 05.00 PM)
6. Processing of seat allotment 20.09.2025 to 23.09.2025
7. Display of provisional allotment / Result 25.09.2025
8. The last date/time of submission of objections to provisional allotment (if any) by the NEET UG aspirants Note: Objections can be submitted only by personal appearance/visit alongwith relevant documents/record in Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot. Objections received through email will not be accepted. 26.09.2025 (Upto 02.00 PM)
9. In case there is a change in the Provisional allotment after considering objections, the same will be displayed on the University website 26.09.2025
10. The provisionally selected candidates will pay the balance amount of fee (Six month fee after deducting amount of security deposit) through university payment gateway available on university website and will report to the respective college for joining in the respective allotted college 27.09.2025 to 30.09.2025

Frequently asked questions (FAQs).

Q- After joining Second Round of Counseling, whether one can leave/ Resign the allotted seat?

Once the applicant join the 2nd round seat, he/she will allowed to leave/resign the seat within stipulated period but the security deposit will be forfeited.

Q- If a candidate does not report at the allotted college during Round 2 whether he has to register again for Round 3?

Yes, Candidate’s security amount will be forfeited and he can participate in Round 3 only with Fresh registration and security deposit.

Q- Whether the candidate can upgrade the Round 2 allotted seat during Round 3?

Yes, the candidate can upgrade the Round 2 allotted seat during Round 3 but once, the candidate will join the upgraded seat in Round 3, he/she cannot resign/leave the seat.

Q- If the candidate does not join the allotted/upgraded seat during Round 3, whether the security deposit will be forfeited?

Yes, the security amount will be forfeited.

Q- When will conversion of seats to open merit will be carried out?

The conversion of seats of NRI and any reserve category after exhausting all candidates in relevant category will be carried out during the Round 3. The said conversion will be done only when the eligible Candidates belonging to the said Conversion Category have exhausted.
