MCC releases schedule for candidates who chose float option in round 1 NEET counselling

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has issued an important notice for candidates who have opted for the Float option in Round 1 of the NEET UG Counselling for the academic year 2026-27.
As per the notice, candidates opting for upgradation must complete the prescribed formalities within the deadlines fixed by MCC. The counselling authority has also warned that failure to re-upload corrected documents after a discrepancy is raised may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
Candidates who wish to retain their Round 1 allotment while seeking an upgrade in the next round must submit their willingness by choosing the Float option. MCC has stated that this facility will remain available only till 12:00 noon on August 31, 2026.
Float candidates must upload the required documents on the MCC portal by 2:00 PM on August 31, 2026. The notice separately states that the last date for physical reporting for Round 1 of UG Counselling 2026 is 5:00 PM on August 31.
MCC will publish an institute-wise list of Round 1 allotted candidates whose document verification is still pending by 4:00 PM on August 31. Following this, participating institutes will complete document verification up to 6:00 PM on August 31. The correction facility will remain available only until 11:59 PM on August 31, 2026.
