MCC revises round 1 NEET Counselling 2026 schedule, registrations open till August 15

New Delhi: In an important update for medical aspirants, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the Round 1 schedule for the NEET UG Counselling for the academic year 2026 and also released the detailed seat matrix for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing admissions.
As per the revised schedule issued by MCC, candidates now have additional time to complete registration and choice filling, while the allotment result is scheduled to be announced on August 19, 2026.
The registration facility for Round 1 will remain available until 2:00 PM on August 15. Candidates will be able to make the required fee payment until 5:00 PM on August 15, 2026, as per server time.
The choice-filling window, which began on August 6, will now remain open until 6:00 PM on August 17, 2026. Choice locking will be available only on August 17, beginning at 10:00 AM and closing at 6:00 PM.
Once choice filling and locking are completed, MCC will process the Round 1 seat allotment on August 18, 2026.
The Round 1 result will be declared on August 19, following which allotted candidates will have to report to their respective colleges between August 20 and August 25, 2026. Below is the detailed schedule-

Alongside the revised counselling dates, MCC has released an extensive seat matrix for Round 1. According to the seat matrix, a total of 31728 seats are available for Round 1 NEET UG MBBS BDS & BSc Nursing admissions. The document provides details including the state, institution type, institute name, quota, course, category, number of seats and whether the seat is open to both genders or restricted to female candidates.
