MCC To Begin Refund Process Soon For NEET SS 2022 candidates
Delhi: Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed the candidates that the NEET SS refund process will begin shortly for the 2022-23 session.
As informed by NMC and MoHFW, all the Super Specialty (DM/ MCh/ DNB SS) counseling rounds for the academic session 2022-23 are over, and there will be no further round of NEET-SS counseling for DM/ MCh/ DNB SS Seats. All candidates who have participated in Super Specialty (DM/ MCh/ DNB SS) for this Academic Session 2022-23 should note that the refund process of all eligible candidates will start shortly.
NEET-SS 2022 is the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to Super Specialty Courses, which will include the following –
1. All DM/MCh Courses in the country, including all Private Medical Colleges/Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities
2. All DM/MCh courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions
3. All DrNB Super-specialty Courses (except Direct 6 Years DrNB Courses)
The Medical Counselling Committee is an organization under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and responsible for allotting seats for undergraduate, postgraduate, and super-specialty medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges. It allows seats online based on the candidate's score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Factors considered during allotment are merit, reservation eligibility, and the preference list submitted by the candidate.
Roles & responsibilities –
1. Maintenance of the official website of MCC, DGHS
2. Finalization of counseling procedure & schedule
3. Co-ordination with the concerned agencies for counseling against State/UT quota seats
4. Any other task(s) related to counselling & allocation of seats against AIQ, etc
5. Finalization of counseling centers & making necessary arrangements at the Counselling centers, if applicable
6. Fixation of Counselling fees & deposits, if any
