New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee has warned the NEET PG and MDS aspirants regarding a fake application-cum-admission form for postgraduate medical and dental courses in 50% government quota seats.
The concerned form, which is circulating on social media, claimed that the seats will be allotted on the basis of nomination by payment of fees under nominated/state quota.
However, MCC in the notice dated 14.10.2023 clarified that the concerned application-cum-admission form is a 'fake' and stated in the notice, "It has come to the notice of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) that the following ‘Application-cum-admission Form for MD/MS/DNB/MDS Course of 50% Government Seat Quota/ Nominated Quota (Copy attached below) is circulating in the social media wherein they have claimed that seats will be allotted on nomination basis by payment of fees under nominated/ state quota. Further, in the notice, MCC also clarified that it does not host any website other than www.mcc.nic.in and it does not allot seats on nomination basis. Therefore, the admission authority advised the candidates to be aware of any such letters issued by scrupulous persons on behalf of MCC regarding allotment of seats.
Besides, MCC also asked the candidates to be cautious of fake agents and advised to perform all the counselling related activities on the website by themselves instead of hiring agents for the same.
