MCC withdraws 8 DNB SS seats from round 2 NEET SS counselling, details
New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), has announced the withdrawal of 8 DNB Super Speciality seats from the seat matrix of Round 2 of the NEET SS Counselling 2025.
The seats have been removed following requests received from five participating institutes across Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Gujarat and Delhi.
According to the notice issued by the MCC in this regard, the withdrawn seats cover DNB SS programmes in Neurology, Neonatology, Cardiology and Surgical Oncology. All the affected seats were listed under the All India quota and Open category.
As per the seat matrix, a total of 8 seats have been removed from the 5 colleges across India from the mentioned courses.

These seats will no longer form part of the Round 2 seat matrix. Candidates participating in the counselling process have therefore been advised to review the revised matrix carefully before exercising or locking their choices.
“The seats mentioned for withdrawal will be removed from the seat matrix of Round II of SS Counselling 2025. The following seats are withdrawn in the seat matrix of Round II”, the notice added.

The registration facility is already open and will remain available until 3:00 PM on August 5, 2026, as per server time. Candidates will be able to make the prescribed payment until 6:00 PM on the same day.
Choice filling is also currently underway and will continue until 2:00 PM on August 6, 2026.
The choice-locking facility will open at 8:00 PM on August 5, 2026, and remain available until 2:00 PM on August 6, 2026. Candidates have been advised to carefully review their preferences before locking them within the stipulated deadline.
The processing of seat allotment will be carried out on August 6, followed by publication of the result on August 7. Following this, the candidates allotted seats will be required to report to their respective institutes between August 8 and August 12, 2026.
