MP DME postpones mop up round NEET PG counselling, new schedule soon

Bhopal: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME Madhya Pradesh), has officially announced the postponement of the State Mop-Up Round of counselling for NEET PG 2025 admissions to MD and MS courses under the Madhya Pradesh State Combined Counselling process.
As per the notice issued on January 6, 2026, the mop-up round, which was earlier scheduled to begin on January 7, 2026, has been deferred due to a delay in the conduct of the All India third round of NEET PG counselling.
The counselling timelines at the state level are closely linked with the national counselling schedule, and any delay at the All India level directly impacts the state counselling process.
The DME mentioed that a fresh schedule for the Mop-Up Round will be announced only after the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) releases the revised timetable for both All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota counselling rounds. Until then, no new dates have been fixed for the commencement of the mop-up round in Madhya Pradesh.
Candidates participating in the MP State NEET PG 2025 counselling have been advised to regularly check the official DME Madhya Pradesh website as well as the MP Online portal for authentic updates and notifications.

Medical Dialogues reported that The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has informed all State Counselling Authorities that the All India Quota (AIQ) and State schedule for Round 3 of PG Counselling 2025 will be released only after the completion of the process related to revised percentile eligibility.
In an official notice issued by the MCC in this regard, addressed to State Directors of Medical Education (DMEs), Vice Chancellors, and Secretaries (Medical Education) of all States, the MCC mentioned that the counselling schedule for Round 3 will be uploaded after receiving approval of the revised percentile eligibility for participation in PG Counselling 2025 from the competent authority.
