MP DME reschedules NEET PG mop-up round, details
Madhya Pradesh: The Director of Medical Education (DME MP) has announced the rescheduling of the mop-up round for NEET PG counselling for the academic year 2023-24.
As per the notice, mop-up round counselling is put on hold because of the lowering of the qualifying cutoff percentile for NEET PG 2023 by the Government of India Ministry of Health and Family Welfare vide letter no U-12021/02/2023-MEC (Pt-I) dated 20.09.2023.
Previously, the schedule for the mop-up round was released by DME. As per the schedule, the mop-up round was supposed to be over by 29th September 2023. The allotment result was to be declared on 22nd September 2023. But now a new schedule will be announced. The candidates need to keep track of the official website of DME for further updates. A fresh revised schedule of the State mop-up round will be notified after the publication of the MCC revised time schedule.
Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced that fresh registration and choice filling for round 3 of PG Counselling will be opened again for candidates who have become eligible after the reduction of NEET PG cutoff percentile.
This decision has been taken because of the reduction of the qualifying percentile for PG Courses (Medical) for NEET PG Counselling 2023 to ‘ZERO’ across all categories by MoHFW. Candidates who have become freshly eligible can register and participate in round 3 of counselling. The candidates who are already registered need not register again. However, they will be allowed to edit their choices. A fresh schedule for round 3 onwards for PG Counselling will be put up on the MCC website soon.
The Department of Medical Education plays a pivotal role in developing medical and para-medical personnel to cater to the state's health needs. The directorate facilitates comprehensive medical and dental education via various medical, dental, and paramedical colleges in the state.
