MP DME to start NEET PG counselling 2024 registrations from tomorrow
Madhya Pradesh: Through a recent notice, the Director of Medical Education Madhya Pradesh (MP DME) has informed regarding the commencement of the registration process for NEET PG counselling in the state for this academic year 2024.
In its notice, the DME informed all the eligible candidates who have qualified the NEET PG 2024 that the process of registration for admission to all postgraduate course seats (MD/MS) in government, autonomous and private hospital colleges of Madhya Pradesh state is being started from tomorrow, i.e 02.10.2024. Hence All candidates including serving candidates should register themselves compulsorily.
After several controversies, NBE conducted the NEET-PG 2024 exam on August 11 and its results were declared on August 23. However, approaching the Supreme Court bench, several candidates pointed out how the exam format was changed just one month before the scheduled date and the exam was converted into a two(2) session examination with separate papers for each session which is against NBE's guidelines of having one common examination.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that during the last hearing of the case, while considering the plea, the Supreme Court on September 20 had expressed displeasure over the last-minute changes in the exam pattern by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
During the recent hearing, the Apex Court bench noted that there was no appearance on behalf of the Central Government. Accordingly, the bench had ordered, "We request the presence of any of the Additional Solicitors General to assist this Court in the matter."
"A copy of the order may be communicated to the office of the Solicitor General so that necessary arrangements can be made for representation of the Union of India. List the Petitions on 4 October 2024," it further mentioned.
