Bhopal: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME Madhya Pradesh), has announced the postponement of the State MOP-UP round counselling for Madhya Pradesh Combined NEET PG 2025 admissions.
The decision has been taken in view of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) notice dated January 29, 2026, which put the choice locking process for All India Quota (AIQ) Round-3 on hold.
According to the official notice issued by the Public Health and Medical Education Department, Madhya Pradesh, the scheduled State MOP-UP round counselling has been deferred until further notice. Authorities clarified that since the AIQ Round-3 process has been temporarily halted by MCC, the corresponding state-level counselling cannot proceed at this stage. Candidates are advised to wait for further instructions before expecting a revised counselling schedule.
Despite the postponement of the counselling process, the DME has confirmed that the registration process for the MOP-UP round will continue until further notice. Eligible candidates who have not yet registered are encouraged to complete their registration through the official DME website and the MP Online portal within the stipulated time frame.
The MCC, under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, issued an urgent notice regarding Round-3 of PG Counselling 2025, which led to the temporary suspension of choice locking at the national level
This development has had a cascading effect on state counselling schedules, including Madhya Pradesh.
Candidates participating in Madhya Pradesh NEET PG 2025 counselling have been advised to regularly check the official DME website and MP Online portal for updates related to revised dates and further announcements.
