MUHS notifies on additional round for fellowship and certificate courses admissions, check complete details

Maharashtra University of Health Sciences Allows Additional Round to Fill Fellowship Seats

Mumbai: Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has asked affiliated training centres to conduct an additional centre-level admission round to fill vacant seats in Fellowship and Certificate courses for the academic year 2025-26.

This comes after the completion of the centralized online admission process, with several seats still remaining unfilled, prompting the university to allow institutes to carry out admissions at their own level in accordance with prescribed eligibility and merit criteria.

Accordingly, on the basis of request(s) received from many aspirants' applicants and Training Centre(s), it was decided by the University to allow the affiliated Training Center(s) to fillup vacant seat(s) available for admission to Fellowship and Certificate Course(s) for the A.Y. 2025-26 by conducting additional training centre level round, subject to the rules and programme prescribed by the University.

Hence, Affiliated Training Center(s) have been directed to carryout the admission process strictly at their level only for those students those who have not got admission in previous rounds or not allotted any seat at any of the training centres in previous admission rounds for the A.Y. 2025-26, as per the University rules and shall adhere with the Eligibility and Merit Criteria as prescribed by the University for Admission to Fellowship and Certificate Course(s) for the A.Y. 2025-26. The admission given by the affiliated Training Center to any candidate, who is not fulfilling the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the University, shall not be considered for grant of eligibility registration and will be rejected. Kindly note.
As per University Ordinance No. 01/2022 (Amended) clause 14 (1) (iv), the student shall not be eligible e for re-admission to the same Fellowship/Certificate Course to same/another Mentor or training centre pass the concerned Fellowship/Certificate Course: in any case.
The applicants willing to appear for the admission process at the Training Centre Level round shall submit the application form with all the following documents to the concerned Affiliated Training Centre and shall remain present at their own cost at the respective Training Centre (s) as per the programme and schedule prescribed by the University (Copy attached)
1) Application Format (to be submitted by the applicant to the respective Training Centre)
2) Eligibility Criteria of the applicant for admission to Fellowship & Certificate Course(s)
3) Merit Criteria to be observed by the respective Training Centre
4) Provisional Vacant Seat position available at various affiliated Training Centres.

All concerned should note the Merit Criteria as prescribed by the University as under, as per clause 14(3) ofOrdinances No. 01/2022 (amended):
i. If the tie persists,the Age Criteria shall be applied.
ii. If the Maharashtra Domicile Applicant is not available, only then Non-Maharashtra Domicile applicant(s) shall be considered as per such vacancy and their priority.
iii. Separate merit number shall be generated as per candidate's PG, UG & 12th Course eligibility & merit criteria (as applicable).
iv. Shifting or transferring of the students admitted in previous rounds or a change of courses is not allowed in any way, kindly note.
Further, all the affiliated Training Centre (s) shall verify and confirm the vacant seat position at their respective TrainingCentrer and complete the additional centre level round, failing which, the TrainingCentrer shall be held responsible for academic or financial loss, if any, incurred in such event.
Furthermore, it is the duty of the concerned affiliated Training centre to carry out the said admission process in a transparent and accountable manner. The University shall have the right to appoint the Observer to any of its affiliated Training Centre (s) to verify the smooth conduct of said admission procedure.
The affiliated Training Centre may be allowed to admit students or candidates ates to the Fellowship and/or Certificate Course at their level by adopting due procedure prescribed or notified by the MUHS, only if it is so allowed by the MUHS for the particular Academic year by cconsideringthe vacancy position. In such evan ent, the MUHS may issue a necessary notification to fill the vacant seats at the Affiliated Training Centre. However, the affiliated Training Centre may publish the advertisement, as per the format approved by the MUHS, in a local newspaper or on their website. If any affiliated Training Centre desirous to publish the advertisement, other than the format approved by the MUHS, in a local newspaper or other media, then the Training Centre shall take prior permission from the MUHS and shall comply with the directives given by the MUHS, in this regard;
It is pertinent to note that;all the Titime schedulesoncerned affiliated Training centers have to follow ts prescribed by the University. The affiliated Training Centres must communicate the list of students applied for the course by email to fccc@muhs.ac.in to the University before publishing the Primary Temporary General Merit List on their Notice BBoard/websiteas per the prescribed schedule.
It is made clear that, for this Academic Year 2025-26, the process of admissions to the Fellowship & Certificate Course(s) has already started for those applicants who have takenadmissionn ithe Centraliseded Online Admission Procedure conducted by the University. Hence, the eligible candidate(s) whosoever takes admission now, in this admission process to be conducted by the Training Centre Level round will be eligible to appear for Final University Examination as per the terms and conditions applicable for academic term extension.
To, pay the required course tuition fees, the selected candidate shall pay the 75% of tution fees to the concerned training centre and 25% of the tuition fees to MUHS. However in the event of retention of candidate for fellowship/certificate course run by training center of MUHS including its regional centers then 100% of tution fees (25% & 75% tution fees) shall be paid to MUHS only as per the prescribed procedure.
In order to get the necessary information and update, all the desirous candidates/ applicant(s) & affiliated training centers shall visit the University website regularly frequently for further updates.
