NBE Extends Application Date For DNB, DrNB Final Only Practical Exam December 2022
Delhi: National Board of Examinations (NBE) has extended the last date to apply for DNB/DrNB final-only practical examination (December 2022).
Per the notice, the candidates can apply for DNB/DrNB final only practical examination (December 2022) till 10th February 2023.
The theory exams were conducted on 21st December 2022, 22nd December 2022, 23rd December 2022, and 24th December 2022 at various examination centers across the country. DNB/DrNB – final is an exit examination leading to DNB/DrNB qualification award, respectively. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences conducts DNB/DrNB Final Examination in June and December every year.
DNB final is a two-stage examination comprising of theory and practical examination. An eligible candidate qualified for the theory examination can appear in the practical examination. Those who fail to qualify for the theory examination are required to reappear in the theory examination.
The practical examination of the session in which the candidate qualifies for the theory examination shall be the mandatory first attempt. A candidate unsuccessful in the first attempt at a practical examination is permitted to undertake two more attempts (s) of practical examinations. These two attempts shall be any two practical examinations conducted in the subsequent three consecutive sessions of DNB Final Examinations.
The Government of India established the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) in 1975 to improve the quality of Medical Education by establishing high and uniform standards of postgraduate examinations in modern medicine on an all-India basis utilizing existing infrastructure for capacity building.
NBEMS currently conducts postgraduate and postdoctoral examinations in approved specialties leading to the award of Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and Doctorate of National Board (DrNB), respectively.
