NBE notifies on Sponsored Post MBBS DNB Centralised Counselling- Check out schedule, seat matrix, all admission details here

NBE Releases Sponsored Post MBBS DNB Online Centralised Merit-Based Counselling Schedule.

New Delhi- The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the online centralised merit-based counselling schedule for sponsored Post MBBS DNB seats for the 2024 admission session. In this regard, NBEMS has released a handbook detailing important information including eligibility criteria, the counselling process, course fees, etc.

As per the schedule, the process of registration for counselling and filling of choices for available seats is going to start from 14 February 2025. Eligible candidates who have submitted NOC by the Cadre controlling authority in the proper format shall be allowed to participate in the Sponsored DNB Post MBBS seat Counseling. Registration & filling of choices has to be done through the NBE official website.

Along with this, the allotment process will be done on 18 February 2025 and the allotment result will be declared on 19 February 2025. Following this, the payment process of the first-year course fee and physical joining at the allotted hospital will start on 19 February 2025.

Meanwhile, the following steps must be completed to participate in the counselling-

1 Payment of registration fee for online counselling.

2 Upload prescribed documents.

3 Choice filling.

4 Lock and Confirm the choices filled

However, it is to be noted that no candidate will be able to register for participation in the 2nd Round or any subsequent rounds of the Counseling. In addition, the seat allocation will be done in order of merit cum choice/ preference of seats indicated by the candidate during the registration/choice-filling process. Candidates may note that the allotment of a seat in the Counseling is subject to the fulfilment of prescribed eligibility criteria and the production of prescribed credentials in original at the time of joining the institute allotted. Ineligibility detected at any stage shall lead to cancellation of candidature.

Moreover, Candidates are required to pay the Counseling registration fee of Rs. 2500/- at the time of online registration for the counselling. Payment gateway charges shall be borne by the candidate. Registration fee for online counselling shall not be refunded under any circumstances once the candidate has been registered for Counseling.

Candidates are advised to fill in their preferences/choice of seats carefully and Lock and Confirm them before the last date of choice filling window so that the same are considered by the System. If there is inaction i.e. the candidate does not Lock and Confirm the preferences/choices of seats, the System will not accept the choices of seats and the candidate will not be allotted any seat. Once locked and confirmed, the choices filled in for the counselling cannot be changed.

For joining the allotted seat, the candidate is required to accept and freeze the allotted seat and have to pay the First-year course fee [non-refundable] of Rs.1,25,000/- within the stipulated time. After the payment of the First-year course fee, the seat allotted to him/her will be frozen in his/her favour and the candidate will not be eligible for any further round(s) of counselling.

Below are details of the online centralised merit-based counselling for sponsored Post MBBS DNB seats for the 2024 admission session as per the Handbook.

PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION WITH NBEMS FOR SPONSORED POST-MBBS DNB SEATS AFTER JOINING THE ALLOTTED INSTITUTE

1 . The candidates are required to upload the documents to the NBEMS official website. Thereafter, the hospitals are also required to update the joining status on the same website.

2 Candidate who has Joined the allotted seat shall be referred as NBEMS trainee.

3 NBEMS has introduced a web portal named as Online Portal for Joining and Registration (OPJR). Candidates as well as the concerned Hospitals/ Institutes are required to complete the Registration formalities after the conclusion of all rounds of counseling. OPJR shall not be accessible for both candidates as well as institutes during the ongoing process of counselling.

4 After the conclusion of counselling, the candidate and hospital shall be able to access the Online Portal for Joining and Registration (OPJR) through web-link where they shall be required to complete the joining and registration formalities.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE CENTRALIZED MERIT-BASED COUNSELING FOR ADMISSION TO SPONSORED POST-MBBS DNB SEATS FOR THE 2024 ADMISSION SESSION

1 All such candidates who fulfil the aforesaid eligibility criteria and are desirous of for opting the Sponsored Post MBBS DNB seat are required to submit his/ her request to their parent organization. The Cadre Controlling Authority is required to issue a NOC in favor of candidates and submit it to NBEMS, strictly as per the format prescribed by NBEMS on or before the prescribed date i.e. 10th January 2025.

2 Candidates already pursuing a postgraduate course (MD/ MS/ DNB/ PG Diploma/ NBEMS Diploma) are not eligible for admission to Sponsored Post MBBS DNB seats of 2024 admission session for the entire duration prescribed for the course already joined by them earlier. This shall be irrespective of their resignation or discontinuation from the said course due to any reason.

3 In the event ineligibility is detected at any stage, NBEMS reserves its rights to cancel the result/ candidature of such candidates for NEET PG 2024 and also for Sponsored Post MBBS DNB seats of the 2024 admission session, even if the result has been declared or candidate has participated in the counselling or admitted to the Sponsored Post MBBS DNB seats of 2024 admission session.

4 Candidates who join Sponsored Post MBBS DNB seat in 2the 024 admission session, after opting for a confirmed seat through Centralized Online Counseling for Sponsored Post MBBS DNB seats of the 2024 session shall not be eligible to join any other DNB course for the entire duration of their Sponsored Post MBBS DNB course (i.e. 3 years). This shall be irrespective of their resignation or discontinuation from the course due to any reason.

5 Candidates who are working in a Government (State/ Central/ Autonomous/ PSUs, etc.) organization regularly are eligible for Sponsored Post MBBS DNB seats.

AND

Candidates must have an MBBS degree or Provisional MBBS Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the NMC Act, 2019 and the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 and possess a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council and must have completed one year of internship on or before 15th August 2024.

AND

Must have “Qualified” NEET PG 2024.

LIST OF PRESCRIBED DOCUMENTS TO BE UPLOADED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION IN THE 1ST ROUND OF COUNSELING

a MBBS Degree or Provisional MBBS Pass certificate.

b Permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the NMC/ the erstwhile Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council.

c Proof of having passed the Post Graduate MBBS final examination with one year of compulsory internship on or before 15th August 2024.

d Proof of MBBS qualification recognized as per the provisions of the NMC Act, 2019 and the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 i.e. Screenshot of the NMC website confirming that the MBBS Degree is recognized as per NMC Act, 2019/ FMGE Pass Certificate issued by NBEMS in case of candidates who have completed their MBBS not from India.

e Matriculation/ High School/ Higher Secondary Certificate as a proof of Date of Birth.

f Valid Government-issued Identity proof with Photograph.

g NOC as issued by Parent Organization.

COURSE FEE GUIDELINES FOR SPONSORED POST-MBBS DNB TRAINING

Fee Structure for Sponsored Post MBBS DNB Training as per aforesaid guidelines is as follows-

However, it is to be noted that after allotment of a seat and payment of the First Year Course Fee, the Course Fee shall not be refunded to the candidates, irrespective of joining or nonjoining the course. The accredited hospital cannot charge any other fees like capitation fees, security deposits, security bonds, and caution bonds in the form of cash, fixed deposits, bank guarantees, and agreements by any instrument whatsoever.

Apart from this, NBEMS has released the Indicative Seat Matrix for admission to Sponsored Post MBBS DNB courses 2024 Admission Session. As per the Seat Matrix, a total of 121 seats are vacant in 14 Sponsored Post MBBS DNB courses across India.
