NEET 2023 Counselling To Begin Soon
Delhi: NEET UG counselling process to begin soon. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the counselling process. The NEET exam was held on 7th May 2023 and 6th June 2023 (Manipur candidates).
MCC will conduct 15% of AIQ seats, and the rest 85% of state quota seats will be completed by the State Counselling authorities. Its role is limited to allotment of seats to the participating candidates, as per their merit and choice, which starts only after receiving the list/data/information of successful candidates from the National Testing Agency, i.e. the NEET (UG) examination conducting body.
To participate in the counselling process, eligible candidates must register online on MCC's official website. The candidates should open the official website of MCC and click on the online registration tab on the homepage. They must enter their NEET Roll Number, password, and security pin. They must fill in the details, pay the application fee, and submit the form.
A merit list is prepared once the application process is over. The candidates whose names are on the merit list are only eligible for the counselling process. A total of 2 rounds of counselling are conducted along with the mop-up round. A stay vacancy round is conducted if needed only when all the seats available are not filled up till the mop-up round.
The candidates are asked to fill in the choices according to their preferences during the counselling process. The seats are allocated based on the NEET scorecard, choices filled, reservation criteria, and seats available. Candidates who are allotted seats are asked to report to the allotted college for completion of admission. The vacant seats in a particular round are carried forward to the next round.
