NEET 2024 Counselling soon, MCC tells Medical Colleges to upload Seat details on portal by July 20
New Delhi- In regard to the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) 2024 exam Counselling, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) through a notice has urged all the medical colleges across India to register their seats on its official portal for NEET-UG 2024 counselling.
The MCC will be accepting the details of the college's seats who are participating in the NEET-UG 2024 counselling till July 20 2024 as the counselling process will likely to begin soon. The counselling will be conducted in four rounds.
On this, the official notice stated that “Institutes participating in UG Counselling 2024 are hereby informed that the intramcc portal for the contribution of UG seats is open now. Hence, Institutes are requested to start entering their seats on the portal at the earliest so that the process of seat contribution can be completed timely”, quotes PTI
Further, through the notice MCC has also informed that the user ID and passport for accessing the portal by the institution are the same as the previous years. They are further provided with the facility of ‘Forgot Password’, in case they have forgotten their password or wish to generate a new password.
With this, if any candidate is found using any unfair means or malpractice during or after any stage of counselling then his/her counselling will be cancelled.
Meanwhile, according to the NEET UG 2024 Information Bulletin, the Reservation Policy of the Central Government in All India Quota seats (Govt./Govt. aided/National Institutes/Central Universities) counselling is as follows:
1 SC- 15%.
2 ST- 7.5%.
3 PwBD- 5% Horizontal Reservation.
4 OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)- 27% Only in National Institutes/Central Universities.
5 EWS- 10% Only in National Institutes/Central Universities (who satisfy the conditions given in the OM No. 20013/01/2018-BC-II dated 17 January 2019, issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment).
Furthermore, An All India Merit List of the qualified candidates shall be prepared based on All India Rank (AIR) in the Merit List of the NEET (UG) - 2024 and candidates shall be admitted to Undergraduate Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homeopathy Course (ASU & H Courses) from the said list only, with existing reservation policy, the information bulleting stated.
