NEET Admissions 2022: Maha CET Cell issues notice for PwD Candidates, details
Maharashtra: Maha CET Cell has issued a notice for PwD candidates for NEET UG admissions for 2022-23. The list of disability certificate centres has also been released.
As per the notice, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), New Delhi, has given important instructions regarding the certificate to be submitted by the desirous candidates to get PwD seats for UG Counselling 2022. Therefore, the interested candidates who are registering for admission for the PwD seat for admission to UG Counselling 2022 must have a certificate issued from the designated centres of the Medical Counseling Committee through online mode only.
The candidates should regularly touch the MCC website for further updates regarding this. All the counselling and admission process for candidates with a disability will be carried out per MCC guidelines.
NEET UG counselling 2022 will be held by Maharashtra Maha CET Cell. The counselling process is conducted for admission to the state quota seats in government/ corporation, government-aided, and all the quota seats in private/ minority colleges of Maharashtra state. The whole process of Maharashtra NEET UG counselling 2022 will be conducted online.
A total of 16 disability certificate centres are there across India. These centres will issue Disability Certificates as per NMC norms to PwD candidates in support of their claim to avail of 5% PwD reservation in UG/ Broad Speciality PG Courses.
In Maharashtra, there are 4 centres are there.
The detailed list of centres –
1. All India Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AIIPMR) – Mumbai - For Locomotor Disability only
2. Grant Government Medical College, JJ Hospital Compound – Mumbai - All Disabilities as mentioned in Disability Certificate
3. Ali Yavar Jung National Institute of Speech and Hearing Disabilities, Bandra – Mumbai - For Hearing Disabilities only
4. AIIMS, Nagpur – Nagpur - All Disabilities as mentioned in Disability Certificate
The Government of Maharashtra has established a State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET CELL) under Admission Regulating Authority (ARA) as per the provision in Section 10 of the Maharashtra Unaided Private Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions and Fees) Act, 2015. The undergraduate courses included are MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP, BP & 0, and BSc Nursing.
