NEET counselling: NTRUHS reopens MBBS, BDS registration window till August 19

Andhra Pradesh: Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS), Andhra Pradesh, has reopened the online registration portal for MBBS and BDS admissions under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2026-27, giving candidates who missed the earlier registration window one final opportunity to submit their applications.
The decision comes after the university received several requests from candidates and parents seeking another chance to register for the state counselling process.
As per the notification issued by the NTRUHS in this regard, the portal has been reopened till 3:00 PM today i.e. August 19, 2026. Candidates applying during this window will have to pay a late fee of ₹20,000.
The university clarified that the reopening is specifically meant for candidates who could not register or complete their applications in response to the earlier notification issued on August 5, 2026.
Such candidates must complete both the online application submission and uploading of the required documents within the revised deadline.
Candidates successfully registering during the reopened window will not have to submit separate applications for subsequent rounds.
According to the university, the same application form will remain valid for all phases of counselling, including the Stray Round, for seats available under the Competent Authority Quota.
Candidates therefore need to ensure that they fulfil the prescribed NEET UG 2026 eligibility, age, local/non-local status, educational qualification and document requirements before submitting the application.
With the university declaring this as the final registration opportunity, candidates who missed the previous window have been advised to complete the process well before the 3:00 PM deadline on August 19 to avoid last-minute technical issues.
