NEET Counselling: WBMCC issues notice on Round 1 allotment, details

West Bengal: The West Bengal Main Computerized Counselling (WBMCC) informed about UG Medical and Dental round 1 allotment.

As per the notice, the provisional allotment is published on the official website. The individual allotment letters are available for download for the successful candidates from the counselling website by individual login till the closure of the updated schedule of round 1 admission.

The candidates are required to attend the allotted college within the round 1 admission schedule on the scheduled dates as per server time if they wish to get admitted, along with all required original documents with one set self-attested photocopy as stated earlier notice in counselling website dated 21-10-2022. They all have to bring the successfully verified slip and allotment letter (one set original and one set self-attested photocopy) for admission and 4 copies of a recent passport-size photograph.

The undertaking of all the candidates who they not presently admitted anywhere through AIQ /SQ counselling held in 2022 or earlier has to be provided. They have to sign the undertaking in the allotment letter as well additionally.

The candidates must provide the original document and submit one set of self-attested photocopies in the allotted college. Out of the above-stated original documents, the college authority shall mandatorily deposit the original Class 12 certificate, Class 12 mark sheet, and domicile certificate (for State Quota candidate) and have to provide the receipt of such document to the candidate. The admitting institute need not keep the caste certificate and ID cards.

The college authority has to be paid the requisite fee for admission by the candidate in the appropriate payment method as applicable. The college authority shall also ensure the submission of the requisite bond by the candidate during admission.

The candidates will have to pay the following bonds –

1. Rs. One Lakh discontinuation bond in Govt. Colleges in West Bengal (notarized in non-judicial stamp paper with demy paper as required of not less than Rs 100).

2. Candidates getting admission to private colleges/trust colleges / central institutes have to submit the bond/bank guaranty as per the requirement of the said college (preference to be given to candidate's choice for providing bond/bank guaranty).

The candidates applying for SC /ST /OBC/OBC A/OBC B/EWS category may be allotted unreserved seats if they have secured the unreserved cutoff in NEET UG 2022 examination. Suppose the candidates fail to produce a caste certificate (as appropriate). In that case, the admission shall still be granted, and candidature shall be edited to unreserved so that in subsequent rounds (round 2), the candidate may appear for upgradation as unreserved only if they wish.

Suppose SC /ST /OBC/OBC A/OBC NEWS candidates are allotted to the respective caste seat and cannot produce a valid appropriate certificate. In that case, their candidature shall be edited to unreserved and cancellation of the seat for this round through admission software shall be done by the concerned college authority. If the candidates have obtained the unreserved cutoff, they shall be able to participate in the subsequent round for unreserved; if it is found that the said candidate has not obtained the unreserved cutoff, then they shall be out of the counselling process.

Suppose PwD (Person with disability) candidates are allotted non-PwD seats due to their eligibility and cannot provide the PwD certificate from IPGMER Kolkata Medical board. In that case, the candidates shall be granted admission. Still, the candidature shall be edited to the non-PwD status by the concerned college in counselling admission software so that candidate can be eligible for upgradation in round 2 as a non-PwD candidate if they wish.

Suppose PwD candidates are allotted to the respective PwD seat and cannot produce a valid appropriate certificate. In that case, the candidature shall be edited to non-PwD status and cancellation of seats for this round through admission software shall be done by the concerned college authority. If the candidates are otherwise eligible as a non-PwD candidate, they shall be able to participate in the subsequent round as non-PwD candidates; if it is found that the candidates have not obtained the requisite cutoff as non-PwD candidates, then they shall be out of counselling.

All admission must be secured through the NIC (National Informatics Centre) server provided to the admitting colleges by the counselling committee mandatorily within the scheduled time frame of admission. Candidate must also ensure obtaining one copy of server-generated admission/cancellation letter as applicable. Otherwise, their admission shall not be considered, and the said seat comes to subsequent rounds as a vacant seat.

Suppose the candidate is not satisfied with the seat after admission. In that case, they may physically appear before the college authority personally for seat surrender/resignation, and such slip shall also be generated through the NIC server by the concerned college; else, such seat shall not appear in the subsequent round as a vacant seat.

The admission desk/kiosk of the following private medical and dental colleges are arranged on the premises of –

1. RG Kar Medical College Kolkata for all rounds

2. KPC Medical College; IQ City Medical College

3. ICARE Haldia

4. Gouri Devi Institute of Medical Science

5. AIMS Budge Budge

6. Santiniketan Medical College

7. SRIMS and Sanaka Hospital

8. Gurunanak Dental College

9. Haldia Dental College

10. Kusum Devi Dental College

The candidates allotted to such colleges may provide a bond/ bank guarantee as per their choice only for admission. This is in the interest of public service, and all concerned are here informed accordingly.
