NEET, NEET PG 2024 counselling to begin as per MCC prescribed timelines: CENTAC issues notice for students
New Delhi- CENTAC will commence the counselling sessions for UG and PG NEET courses for the academic year 2024-25 as per the timelines prescribed by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), CENTAC through its recent press release.
Recently, after the release of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET-UG) results by the National Testing Agency (NTA), students are eagerly waiting to know when the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) will conduct the counselling sessions. On this, many aspiring candidates have been approaching the CENTAC office making enquiries as to when the UG NEET counselling session will start and the tentative schedule of counselling sessions for the academic year 2024-25.
As per the press release, an information bulletin/brochure containing details of the entire process of the counselling sessions will be made available on the CENTAC website soon after due approval from the Government.
Along with this, students are also informed through the press release that the cut-off marks of the previous year (AY- 2023-24) for UG-NEET-based courses are available in the archives section of the CENTAC website for reference and information.
Regarding the counselling process, CENTAC through its press release has ensured that in its efforts to make the entire process of counselling transparent and fair, there will be minimum human intervention and maximum accessibility through online mode by making all the information available on the CENTAC portal.
CENTAC will reach out to students by posting all required information through its website, hence students are requested to regularly visit the CENTAC website to remain updated with UG & PG NEET counselling starting date and other latest developments regarding the counselling process.
Recently, NTA released the result of the NEET-UG where 56.4 per cent of the candidates have qualified the exam and 67 candidates bagged the top rank in the MBBS entrance exam this year- NEET 2024. Of these 67 candidates, 11 are from Rajasthan, followed by eight from Tamil Nadu and seven from Maharashtra.
Meanwhile, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET-PG) will be conducted on the computer-based platform at various examination centres across the country on June 23, 2024, and the result will be declared by July 15, 2024.
