NEET PG 2023 Counseling Process To Begin Soon
Delhi: NEET PG 2023 counseling to begin soon. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is responsible for conducting the counseling process for seat allotment.
Registration can only be submitted online through the Medical Counselling Committee website www.mcc.nic.in. Registration submitted through any other mode will be summarily rejected. The counseling process comprises online registration, fee payment, choice filling, seat allotment result, and reporting.
MCC conducts counseling for the following –
1. 50% seats of All India Quota
2. 100% seats of Deemed/Central Universities
3. 100% all India open DNB seats
NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, read with 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The 2023-24 counseling process will include AIQ 50% quota seats for all States/Union territories, State quota seats for all States/Union territories, All private medical colleges, institutions & universities/deemed universities, Armed Forces Medical Services, and Post MBBS DNB Courses, Direct 6 years DrNB Courses and Post MBBS NBEMS Diploma Courses.
All India Quota –
Usually, there are four rounds of AIQ counseling, i.e., Round 1, Round 2, AIQ Mop-up Rounds, and AIQ Stray Vacancy Round. All candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats based on their rank in NEET PG conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) will be eligible for participation in the counseling process.
Deemed University –
Four rounds of counseling, i.e., Round 1 & Round 2 with AIQ, MopUp Round & Stray Vacancy Round, is usually conducted. Three of the four rounds are conducted online by MCC, i.e., Round 1, Round 2, and Mop-Up Round. The respective Deemed Universities conduct the Stray Vacancy round. A list of students in order of merit, equaling ten times the number of vacant seats, is forwarded to the Deemed Universities for the Stray Vacancy round.
Armed Forces Medical Services –
Candidates who desire to participate in AFMS Counseling must register on the MCC portal, i.e., www.mcc.nic.in, and opt for AFMS seats. The list of registered candidates will be sent to AFMS Authorities for conducting counseling at their end as per the rules and regulations of AFMS Authorities. The role of MCC is limited to the registration of willing candidates only.
Central University/Institute –
Usually, there are four rounds of counseling, i.e., Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round, to be conducted by MCC. All the candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats based on their rank in NEET PG conducted by NBE will be eligible for the 50% AIQ seats of Central University.
Delhi University –
The Delhi University contributes 50% of Seats to the All India Quota. For the remaining 50% of seats, candidates who have completed their MBBS from DU are eligible for an Internal Quota of 50% in Delhi University.
Aligarh Muslim University –
The AMU contributes 50% of Seats to the All India Quota. For the remaining 50% of seats, candidates who have completed their MBBS from AMU are eligible for internal seats of 50% in AMU.
Banaras Hindu University –
The BHU contributes 50% of Seats to the All India Quota. For the remaining 50% of seats, candidates who have completed their MBBS/BDS from BHU are eligible for internal seats of 50% in BHU.
Diplomate of National Board (DNB) -
Medical Counseling Committee conducts counseling for the DNB courses, domicile free and All India-in-character. MCC does not conduct counseling for In-service seats of DNB. There are usually four rounds of counseling, i.e., Round 1, Round 2 in AIQ, MopUp Round & Stray Vacancy Round, which will be conducted by MCC. All the candidates who have qualified for NEET PG conducted by NBE are eligible.
. Seat Allocation -
NEET PG seat allotment 2023 will be done based on NEET PG rank, choices of colleges & courses filled, seats available, reservation criteria, and other factors. Based on these factors, the provisional result of round 1 will be announced on the MCC website after seat allotment processing.
