NEET PG 2024: NBE Extends Test City Selection Window
New Delhi- The National Board of Medical Examinations (NBEMS) has extended the test city selection window for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 exam.
As per the official notice in this regard, the test city selection window for the NEET PG 2024 exam date has been extended till 11:55 PM tonight. Therefore, candidates are requested to select the exam city as no further extension will be given. The window can be accessed through the official website of NBEMS using the NEET-PG 2024 applicant login credentials.
The notice further clearly instructed that the candidates who fail to provide any preference regarding the test cities during this online window will be allotted an examination centre by NBEMS anywhere in the country as per the availability.
NBEMS allowed NEET-PG 2024 candidates to select the preferred exam cities to appear for the exam from July 19, 2024, to July 22, 2024, till 11:55 pm. However, it was noted that few candidates are yet to submit their test city choices, the notice mentioned.
For the NEET PG exam 2024, additional security measures are being taken by NBEMS and MoHFW (Govt. of India), therefore NEET PG will now be conducted in 185 test cities across the country.
This year's NEET-PG 2024 examination, was previously scheduled to be conducted on June 23 2024. However, the PG medical entrance test will now be held on 11th August 2024 in two shifts.
SCHEME OF NEET-PG 2024
The NEET PG exam comprises 200 Multiple Choice Questions with each question having 4 options in English only. Candidates are required to select the correct answer out of the 4 response options provided in each question. the examination time to complete the paper is 3 hours and 30 minutes. There shall be a 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions.
