NEET PG 2026: NBE issues advisory for applicants, check list of required documents

As per the advisory, in NEET-PG 2026, Test City allocation shall not be undertaken on a First Come First Serve basis. Candidates are advised not to submit applications in haste as early submission of the application form does not confer any preferential right for allotment of any particular Test State, Test City or Test Centre.

In NEET-PG 2026, candidates shall be required to select three preferred Test States. The First Preferred Test State shall mandatorily be the correspondence State furnished in the application form. The remaining two preferred Test States shall be selected from the neighbouring States.

Candidates shall be required to furnish a valid Correspondence Address supported by an acceptable address proof. The Correspondence Address and Test State Preferences shall not be editable after submission of the application form, including during the Edit Window.

Candidates are advised to exercise due care while furnishing these particulars.

While every effort shall be made to allot a Test City / Test Centre in accordance with the candidate preferences, NBEMS reserves the right to allot a Test City / Test Centre anywhere in India due to administrative, security, logistical, technical or other unavoidable circumstances.

Candidates must upload their latest photograph (not older than three months), signature and other images strictly in accordance with the prescribed image upload guidelines. Applications containing deficient, unclear, manipulated, morphed, misleading or otherwise non-compliant images may be rejected and/or the Admit Card may not be issued.

Candidates should carefully review all particulars before final submission of the application form.

NBEMS does not edit, modify or alter information furnished by candidates after submission of the application form under any circumstances. Particulars such as Category, PwBD Status, Date of Birth, contact details and other relevant information should therefore be entered with utmost care. The details furnished in the NEET-PG 2026 application form may be used for counselling / admission-related processes and may be pre-populated in the counselling registration form.

NBEMS or the counselling authorities may not entertain requests for change of such particulars.

The responsibility for furnishing accurate information and valid supporting documents rests solely with the candidate. Submission of false, misleading or unsupported information/documents may result in cancellation of candidature and other appropriate action.

Candidates are advised to ensure that their registered Email ID and Mobile Number remain active, accessible and under their exclusive control throughout the examination and counselling/admission process. All-important communications shall be sent through the registered Email ID and/or published on the NBEMS official website or NBEMS WhatsApp Channel.

Candidates are advised not to share their NEET-PG 2026 Application details, Application Sequence Number, Password, Aadhaar details, Mobile Number, Email ID, qualification details or any other examination-related information with any unauthorised person. Unscrupulous elements/touts may misuse such information to mislead candidates by making false promises relating to marks enhancement, admission, examination assistance, unfair means practices or other fraudulent activities. NBEMS shall not be responsible for any consequences arising out of sharing of such information by the candidate with any unauthorised person.

NBEMS is introducing Aadhaar-based authentication and verification measures for NEET-PG 2026. Candidates are advised to carefully furnish their Aadhaar Number, wherever required in the application form, and ensure that their Aadhaar is unlocked before reporting at the Test Centre. Candidates are advised not to apply henna, colour, ink, paint or any other substance on their fingers, hands or palms, as the same may interfere with biometric verification and authentication processes and cause inconvenience during registration and verification at the Test Centre. In cases where Aadhaar authentication is unsuccessful, alternate identity verification measures, including IRIS-based authentication, may be undertaken by NBEMS.

Candidates should report to the Test Centre well before the prescribed reporting time to facilitate smooth completion of authentication, identity verification, biometric verification and security procedures.

Candidates are advised to plan for the entire day of examination and make travel arrangements accordingly. Owing to security, verification, technical or other unavoidable circumstances, examination-related processes may take additional time. Candidates should therefore avoid making inflexible onward travel commitments on the examination day.

Candidates are advised to regularly check their registered email ID, including Inbox, Spam/Junk folders and other filtered folders, for all communications from NBEMS / Counselling Authority till completion of the examination / counselling & admission process. Candidates should also ensure that the mailbox storage capacity is not full and that emails from NBEMS / Counselling / Admission Authority are not blocked by the Email service provider/settings.

Candidates are strongly advised not to indulge in impersonation, unfair means practices or any other examination malpractice. Such acts may invite cancellation of candidature, debarment and legal action.

Candidates are advised not to rely upon rumours, unverified information or communications received through unofficial sources, including social media platforms. All official information, notices and updates relating to the examination shall be made available through the official NBEMS website, registered email communications and other official communication channels notified by NBEMS (including its official WhatsApp Channel, wherever applicable). Candidates should regularly monitor these official channels for authentic information.

Moreover, candidates are required to submit any one of the following documents as valid proof of his/her Correspondence Address-

A. Government photo ID/address proof

• Aadhaar Card (with address)

• Voter ID (EPIC)

• Passport

• Driving License

• Ration Card

• Domicile / Residence / Permanent Resident Certificate issued by the competent State authority.

B. Medical-profession documents

• NMC(erstwhile MCI)/State Medical Council (SMC) Registration Certificate

• MBBS Degree / Provisional Degree Certificate from a State university / medical college

• Internship Completion Certificate from the medical college

• Appointment / Posting / Joining Order as Medical Officer (Govt or institutional)

• Service Certificate / NOC from employer stating place of posting

• Hospital / Institution Employee ID Card

• Latest Salary Slip showing employer's address.

C. Supporting/residence documents.

• Recent utility bill — electricity/water/landline / piped gas (within last 3 months)

• Bank passbook or statement showing address

• Registered Rent / Lease Agreement

• Post Office account statement / India Post address card

• Police tenant/residence verification certificate issued by local police

• Letter from the landlord + landlord's electricity/property-tax document

• Hostel / PG/accommodation allotment letter from the institution or warden's certificate; property tax receipt

• Hostel / PG/accommodation allotment letter from the institution or warden's certificate

• Allotment letter of Govt/institutional accommodation (not older than 3 years)

• Notarised affidavit / self-declaration of residence on stamp paper

• Address certificate on letterhead with photo issued by an MP / MLA / MLC / Gazetted Officer / Tehsildar, or by a Village Panchayat head (rural areas)

• Signed address-photo letter on letterhead from a recognised bank, registered company, or educational institution

• Vehicle Registration Certificate, Insurance policy, or Income-Tax assessment order showing the current address

• Passport / Aadhaar of spouse or parents with same address (where co-residing).
