NEET PG Admissions 2025: CENTAC to close round 3 registrations on January 7, check vacancies after round 2, resignation deadline

CENTAC Puducherry Opens Round 3 Registration for NEET PG 2025 Admissions

Puducherry: The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, has announced the commencement of Round 3 counselling registration for NEET PG Medical (MD/MS) admissions for the academic year 2025-26.

The registration, payment of fees, and submission of fresh course preferences will remain open till January 7, 2026, till 5:00 PM.

According to the notification issued by the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, the Round 2 admitted list and detailed vacancy position across government and management quota seats have been published on the official CENTAC website. All candidates registered with CENTAC including those allotted seats in Round 1 or Round 2, whether joined or not are eligible to participate in Round 3.

The candidates must note the following

• In Round 3, it is mandatory for the candidates to join the allotted seat, if they are sliding based on their course preferences from the Round 1 or Round 2 admitted seats.

• If a candidate is allotted a seat in Round 3 counselling and if he / she fails to join the allotted seat, then the Forfeiture amount prescribed for the Course, Quota & Category will be forfeited. Further, he / she will be INELIGIBLE for further rounds of counselling.

• A list of such INELIGIBLE candidates will be published on the CENTAC website after Round 3 admissions.

• Candidates who were admitted in Round 1 / Round 2 and who retain their seats in Round 3 or who are allotted in Round 3 will NOT be eligible for participation in further rounds of counselling.

• Round 1 or Round 2 admitted candidates will not be permitted to resign their admitted seat after Round 3 allotment.

• Round 3 allotted and admitted candidates will not be permitted to resign their seat after Round 3 admission.

PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE FOR ROUND 3:

For participating in ROUND 3 counselling, candidates are required to pay the Registration Fee as fixed below:

2 Management (MQ/MQT) / Both Government and Management Quota ALL Rs. 2,00,000/-

Resident of Puducherry candidates who opt for both Government and Management Quota seats should pay the Registration Fee of Rs.2,00,000/.

Candidates are requested to transfer the Registration Fee to the CENTAC account through NET BANKING or by generating NEFT / RTGS challan using the payment option available in the dashboard login credentials and proceed for payment. Read the HELP Instructions carefully before proceeding for payment.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE FOR ROUND 3

Only those candidates who pay the Registration FEE will be considered for ROUND 3.

ADMITTED CANDIDATES

• Candidates (except SC / ST candidates admitted under Government Quota) who have already been admitted in ROUND 1 / ROUND 2 counselling can participate in ROUND 3 on payment of balance Registration Fee, if any, based on the quota and course opted for.

• However, U.T. of Puducherry SC/ST candidates, should pay the Registration Fee (or balance if already paid any Registration Fee in Round 2) towards participating in ROUND 3 Counselling.

NOT ADMITTED CANDIDATES

• Those candidates who have not paid any Registration Fee in Round 2 need to pay the Registration Fee and submit course preferences.

• Those candidates who have paid Registration Fee in Round 2 and have not been allotted a seat, need to pay the balance Registration Fe, if any, and submit course preferences.

• For those candidates who paid Registration Fee and were allotted a seat in Round 2 but DID NOT JOIN, the Registration fee paid in ROUND 2 has been forfeited as per the allotted quota. Hence, such candidates need to pay the Registration Fee (or balance, if any) again for Round 3 and submit course preferences.

SUBMISSION OF COURSE PREFERENCES

• The course preferences submitted in Round 2 are null and void and all candidates registering for Round 3 should submit course preferences AFRESH.

• Sliding will be allowed in Round 3. So, vacancies may arise dynamically in any course at the time of allotment. Accordingly, course preferences need to be submitted irrespective of the vacancies published.

• In ROUND 3, once the candidates express their willingness, and if a new seat is allotted based on their ROUND 3 course preferences, then the course in which the candidate was admitted in ROUND 1 / ROUND 2 will be automatically cancelled.

• The Candidate is solely responsible for filling course preferences. No request for change in course preferences will be entertained, after the last date for Round 3 registration.

• No seat will be allotted if course preference is not submitted and vacant.

CRITERIA FOR REFUND / FORFEITURE

• For a candidate who is NOT allotted a seat in ROUND 3, the Registration Fee will be refunded.

• For a candidate who is allotted a seat in ROUND 3 and joins the course, the Registration Fee will be retained and will be adjusted with the Tuition Fee and the candidate should pay the balance Tuition Fee for the allotted course and college by adjusting the Registration Fee already paid.

• For a candidate who is allotted a seat in ROUND 3 and fails to join the course, the amount as per the allotted quota and course will be forfeited, and the balance Fee if any, will be refunded.

• All REFUNDS will be initiated ONLY after completion of the entire NEET-PG counselling process.

• Refer Clause 14, Page 28 of PG MEDICAL Information Brochure for further details regarding Forfeiture.

CONVERSION OF UNFILLED SEATS IN ROUND 3

• In ROUND 3, after filling the Telugu Minority Management Quota Seats in SVMCH&RI, the remaining unfilled seats will be converted into All India Management Quota and filled in ROUND 3 itself after exhausting the Telugu Minority Quota merit list.

• So, accordingly, Management Quota course preferences are enabled in Round 3.

RESIGNATION / WITHDRAWAL OF THE ROUND 1/ROUND 2 ADMITTED SEAT

Candidates who have joined their CENTAC allotted seat in ROUND 1 / ROUND 2, and who are now desirous of Resigning / Withdrawing the admitted seat with Forfeiture Fee of ROUND 2, may submit their Resignation Request Letter (Refer Annexure – 11 in the PG MEDICAL Information Brochure) through the Candidate’s Login Dashboard on or before 06/01/2026, 5.00 pm.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Last date to submit Resignation request for Round 1 / Round 2 admitted seat with Forfeiture of Fee 06.01.2026, 5.00 P.M.
Last date for Payment of Registration Fee, submission of willingness and course preferences for Round 3 07.01.2026, 5.00 P.M.
