NEET PG Admissions: DME Assam releases Revised Provisional Merit, Details
Assam: The Director of Medical Education (DME Assam) has announced that the NEET-PG-2023 revised provisional merit list is now available on the official website of www.dme.assam.gov.in.
Candidates whose names appeared in the revised provisional merit list and who are eligible for State Health Service Quota as per the "Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021" are requested to apply for State Health Service Quota in a prescribed format (which will be available in the official website of this Directorate www.dme.assam.gov.in from 5th July 2023), along with the supporting documents to the office of the undersigned (2nd floor, Room No. 5) on or before 11th July 2023, during office hours by hand.
This office will consider no further applications after the last submission date (i.e. 11th July 2023). Applications sent via Post/ E-mail shall not be accepted. Candidates are also requested to collect their receipt of acknowledgment at the time of submission of their forms.
The Director of Medical Education conducts the state's NEET PG 2023 counseling process. The candidates who qualify for NEET PG with other eligibility criteria will only be eligible to participate in the counseling process for seat allotment. There are three rounds (round 1, round 2, and mop-up round) of counseling to fill the seats. A 4th round (stray vacancy round) is conducted only when seats remain vacant after 3 rounds of counseling. The seats are allocated based on NEET score, choices filled, and seats available.
The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, Training and Research, Assam was established in 1984 under the control of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Assam. It promotes expertise in medical science in different streams like Allopathic, Ayurvedic, and Homoeopathic medicine and paramedical science, and health care facilities to the people of Assam through different hospitals under the Directorate. It promotes research in the field of medical science in the state of Assam.
