NEET PG Candidates who have joined in round 3 of state counselling will be filtered, weeded out before AIQ Stray Vacancy round process: MCC
Delhi : Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of DGHS has informed that the filter for weeding out the candidates joined through state counselling will be applied before Seat Processing of Stray Vacancy Round of PG Counselling 2023.
"MCC of DGHS will share the data of joined candidates in round 1 , round 2, round 3 of counselling with all the participating States. Similarly, the participating States will also share the data of joined candidates. Candidates who have joined in round 3 of state will be filtered and weeded out before processing for AIQ Stray Vacancy round of counselling," the MCC had mentioned in the information bulletin.
In its recent notice, the MCC made reference to Q. No. 37 in FAQs of PG Information Bulletin as follows:
"Q. No. 37: Who will not be eligible for third Round of Counseling?
Ans: Candidates who are holding any seat in Round-1 or Round-2 of A IQ and have not given willingness to upgrade in round 3 will not be eligible."
In this regard, all colleges/ candidates participating in PG Counselling 2023 are informed that the filter to weed out candidates joined through state counselling will be applied before Seat Processing of Stray Vacancy Round of PG Counselling 2023, the MCC stated in its notice.
Therefore, candidates who have joined any seat through state counselling will not be able to participate in Stray Vacancy Round of All India PG Counselling to be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the notice added.
In view of the above, the eligibility to participate in Stray Vacancy Round of PG Counselling 2023 is as:
Candidates who are not holding any seat in any of the previous rounds of counselling conducted by MCC or through state quota counselling are ‘Eligible’ to participate in Stray Vacancy Round.
Candidates who are allotted in Round-3 of PG Counselling but do not join the allotted seat are ‘Not Eligible’ to participate in Stray Vacancy Round.
