NEET PG Counselling 2023: MCC Announces Delay In Round 2 Final Result
Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced that there will be a delay in releasing the final result of NEET PG round 2.
As per the notice, the round 2 result was scheduled to be released on 28.8.2023, but the same is delayed due to interim orders passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Amravati in W.P No. 22245 of 2023 in the matter of “Jangeti Meghana Satya Sai Durga Dharani vs The Union of India & Ors.”
The MCC had yesterday released the provisional results of Round 2 counselling.
The candidates must be in touch with the MCC website(www.mcc.nic.in) for further updates on results.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is an organization under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) affiliated to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, and responsible for allotting seats for undergraduate, postgraduate and super-specialty medical and dental courses in government-run/aided colleges and deemed-to-be-university colleges. It allots seats online on the basis of the candidate's score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). Factors considered during allotment are merit, reservation eligibility, and the preference list submitted by the candidate.
Recently, the Medical Dialogues team reported that MCC has released provisional result for round 2 of NEET PG Counselling 2023 (for MD/MS/DIPLOMA/ MDS/ PG DNB Courses). The provisional result is only indicative in nature and subject to change. The candidates cannot claim any right over the allotted seat in the provisional result, and the provisional result cannot be challenged before the Court of Law. The candidates are advised to approach the allotted college/institute only after declaring the final result and only after downloading the allotment letter from the MCC website.
