NEET PG Counselling 2025: CEE Kerala to close option registrations on January 9th, check schedule, all details

CEE Kerala to Open Online Option Registration for NEET PG 2025 Third Phase from January 3.

Kerala: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, CEE Kerala, is soon going to close the facility for online option registration of the Third Phase of Centralised Allotment for Postgraduate Medical Courses 2025.

The website opened for enabling online option registration from 03 January 2026.

According to the notification issued by the CEE Kerala in this regard, the third phase allotment to PG Medical Courses-2025 commenced as per the schedule. Fresh option registration is compulsory for participating in the third phase. The option registration facility is available on the official website of CEE Kerala.

Therefore, all the eligible candidates included in the Kerala State Merit list published on 05 November 2025 can register their options online through the official website of CEE Kerala till 09 January 2026, 4.00 PM. Below is the complete schedule-

All candidates who get an allotment should join the course and college to which they are allotted, along with the required documents and pay the fee at the college.

to the CEE through the Online Admission Management System (OAMS).

Meanwhile, the option Registration Fee to be paid will be the amount equal to the annual tuition fee, if Government Medical Colleges (including RCC and Malabar Cancer Centre) only are to be opted, or an amount of Rs 1,00,000 if Self Financing Colleges are to be opted. For SC/ST/OE and other candidates who are eligible for fee concession, the registration fee for Government /Pvt Medical college seats will be half of the above amounts, respectively. The registration fee paid will be refunded to the eligible candidates after the end of counselling. The registration fee of those candidates who do not join the seat allotted will be treated as a penalty and will not be refunded.

PENALTY CONDITIONS IN THE THIRD ALLOTMENT

A candidate allotted a seat in the 3rd phase in the State counselling shall be ineligible to participate in any further counselling. Hence, candidates are advised to exercise due diligence in exercising their options and do not file unwanted options to seats in which they do not wish to pursue studies. The list of candidates admitted as on the last date of admission in Phase 3 will be forwarded to MCC as the list of candidates ineligible to participate in any further rounds of All India or State counselling.

Those candidates who vacate the allotted seat after the cut-off date (09.01.2026, 2:00 PM) specified above will not be considered for further rounds of counselling and a penalty will be initiated as per the Prospectus conditions. This condition is applicable to all the candidates who get admitted in a college based on an allotment in any of the phases (before or after the cut-off date), but the quitting of the seat takes place after the cut-off date.

STRAY VACANCY FILLING PHASE

After the 3rd Phase allotment, if any vacancies exist or arise, those vacancies shall be filled through the Stray vacancy allotment. There will be fresh option registration for the Stray Vacancy filling phase. The net vacant seats due to un-allotted/TC/non-joining of Phase 3 will be published. If vacancies exist even after an initial stray vacancy allotment and if there is sufficient time before the cut-off date for admissions prescribed by the National Medical Commission/MCC, additional stray vacancy allotments may be conducted based on the options registered for the Stray vacancy filling round.

If any candidate vacates a seat joined in the Stray vacancy allotment or vacates a joined seat (joined in any of the previous phases also) after the Stray vacancy allotment process, he/she will be liable to pay liquidated damages as per Clause 10.1.19 (4) of the Prospectus.

Moreover, the vacant seats are published on the website of the CEE. Candidates shall register options for any seats they wish to join if allotted, irrespective of the vacancy status notified, as any vacancy that may arise during the counselling will also be filled based on these options. As applicable category conversions of seats will also take place in the third phase allotment, while registering options for the third phase allotment, candidates are advised to take into account those probable vacancies that may arise due to the applicable category conversions.

The provisional seat matrix for the additional seats sanctioned, as well as the seats in newly started courses in self-financing medical colleges and the Malabar Cancer Centre, has been published on the website. The Government order regarding fees structure of the course in the newly included course in Malabar Cancer Centre, Thalassery, Kannur also been provided on the website.

Meanwhile, the Government of Kerala has approved the fee structure for Postgraduate (PG) medical courses offered at the Malabar Cancer Centre – Post Graduate Institute of Oncology Science & Research (MCC-PGIOSR), Thalassery, Kannur, for the academic year 2025–26. The decision was formalised through G.O.(Rt) issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department.

According to the order issued by the Government of Kerala in this regard, the Government are pleased to approve the fee structure of PG (Broad Speciality/Super Speciality) courses in Malabar Cancer Centre-Post Graduate Institute of Oncology Science & Research (MCCPGIOSR), Thalassery, Kannur, as follows-

Meanwhile, the Director, Malabar Cancer Centre, Thalassery, Kannur, will take necessary action for online publication of the fee structure and also forward the fee structure to the Director General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, for information and record.

Along with this, the Government of Kerala has approved an additional seat matrix for admission to Postgraduate (PG) Medical Degree Courses in Government Medical Colleges across the state for the academic year 2025–26. The approval was issued through G.O.(Rt) by the Health and Family Welfare Department.

According to the order issued by the Government of Kerala in this regard, in continuation of the GO, the Government are pleased to approve the additional seat matrix for admission to Medical Post Graduate Degree Courses in Government Medical Colleges for the academic year 2025-26 as appended to this Order.

The action of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in publishing the seat matrix provisionally to facilitate the option registration is also ratified. Meanwhile, as per the Category-wise Seat distribution (excluding In-Service/Minority/NRI quota seats), a total of 39 seats were newly added. Below is the detailed seat matrix-
