NEET PG Counselling: MCC notifies exemption of RML Hospital from Visual disability assessment

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has issued an urgent notice informing candidates that visual disability assessment services have been temporarily suspended at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, New Delhi, which is a designated disability assessment centre for NEET PG counselling.
According to the official notice, the decision has been taken after ABVIMS & RML Hospital informed MCC that the Visual Field Analyser at the hospital is currently non-functional. As a result, the institute has stopped accepting cases that require visual disability assessment until the equipment becomes operational again.
“Information has been received from ABVIMS & RML Hospital vide Letter No. ME-II-11015/1/2025-ME-II Dept.- Dr RMLH/6022 dated 17.12.2025 that presently, the VISUAL FIELD ANALYSER is NOT FUNCTIONAL at the designated disability centre of RML Hospital. Hence, it has been decided by the competent authority of the institute to stop taking in cases requiring Visual Disability assessment till the machine becomes functional”, the notice read.
Therefore, in view of the disruption, MCC has advised Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates who require visual disability certification for NEET PG counselling purposes to approach other designated disability assessment centres that are equipped to provide this service.
The list of approved alternative centres has already been mentioned in the NEET PG Information Bulletin, and candidates are expected to follow those guidelines while obtaining their PwD certificates.
