NEET PG Counselling: MP DME releases mop up opening, closing rank, allotment lists

Madhya Pradesh: The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has published the opening and closing rank details for the Mop-Up Round of MP State National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) Counselling for the academic year 2025 for MD and MS courses.
The list provides a comprehensive overview of the final merit positions at which postgraduate medical seats were allotted across government and private medical colleges in the state.
As per the opening and closing rank details for the Mop-Up Round of MP NEET PG Counselling 2025, a total of 1588 seats were filled for MD/MS courses. The list includes college-wise and branch-wise opening and closing ranks, along with details such as candidate category, allotted speciality, quota, and merit position, offering transparency into the final round of admissions. The Mop-Up round was conducted to fill the remaining vacant seats after completion of Round-1 and Round-2 counselling.
According to the data, government medical colleges recorded relatively higher closing ranks, especially in high-demand clinical branches. Meanwhile, private medical colleges reflected broader rank ranges, enabling candidates with comparatively lower NEET PG ranks to secure seats in clinical as well as non-clinical disciplines.
The report also highlights category-wise variations, with separate opening and closing ranks for UR, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, and PwD categories, in accordance with the state reservation policy. In some institutions, seats were allotted at significantly wider rank bands, indicating seat availability during the Mop-Up phase.
