NEET UG 2023 Answer Key Expected To Release This Week
Delhi: NEET UG 2023 exam was conducted on 7th May 2023, from 02:00 to 05:20 PM (Indian Standard Time). National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the provisional answer key on the official website.
The candidates will be able to check the provisional answer key by clicking candidate activity on the home page of the official website of NTA. The link will be available there. They have to log in using their date of birth and application number. After releasing the provisional answer key, candidates will be allowed to raise objections, and after all the objections are raised, the final answer key will be released. A brief window will be opened for raising objections.
The NEET UG answer key is expected to be announced this week, and results are expected to be announced in the month of June. Till now, no official announcements have been made. For updates about the release of the answer key and results, candidates need to keep track of the official website of NTA.
As per the details issued in the prospectus, to be eligible for admission to undergraduate medical courses for a particular academic year in the case of General, General-EWS, it will be necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum of marks at the 50th percentile in NEET UG held for the said academic year.
Regarding candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks will be at the 40th percentile. Regarding candidates with Benchmark, Disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the minimum marks will be at the 45th percentile for Unreserved Category & GEN-EWS Category candidates and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates.
Provided when a sufficient number of candidates in the respective categories fail to secure minimum marks as prescribed in NEET UG held for any academic year for admission to undergraduate medical courses, the Central Government, in consultation with the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India, Central Council of Indian Medicine and Central Council of Homeopathy may look at its discretion lower the minimum marks required for admission to undergraduate medical courses for candidates belonging to respective categories and marks so lowered by the Central Government will be applicable for the said academic year only.
