Offline resignations taken by medical colleges before round 3 NEET counselling results to be considered valid: MCC
New Delhi : Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee, MCC of DGHS has informed that the offline resignations taken by medical colleges before the declaration of round 3 NEET counselling results will be considered valid.
In its notice, the MCC stated, "In reference to Notice dated 02.09.2023 w.r.t offline resignation, it is informed that the offline resignations taken by the colleges before the declaration of result of Round-3 of UG Counselling 2023 i.e upto 09.09.2023 will be considered ‘VALID’ and uploaded on online portal."
In view of the above, it is reiterated that the facility for offline resignation of Round 2 seat was provided just because some states had declared their Round-2 results when choice filling for Round-3 of All India counselling was in progress and candidates wanted to join state counselling seat, added MCC.
However, as clearly explained in counselling scheme a candidate becomes part of Round-3 once result for the same is declared and resignation from Round-3 seat is not permissible. Hence, it is clarified that offline resignations upto 09.09.2023 will be taken into account and uploaded on portal provided by MCC, the notice further said.
