PG Medical Admissions 2024: CENTAC Opens Registration Portal for Stray Vacancy Round, check out vacancies, fees

CENTAC Opens Registration for Stray Vacancy Round in PG Medical Admissions 2024-25.

Puducherry- The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has opened the registration portal for the Stray Vacancy Round for admission into the Postgraduate (PG) Medical (MD and MS) Courses for the vacancies under the Government and Management Quota for the academic year 2024-25.

The vacancies and Round 3 admission list for admission to PG Medical (MD and MS) courses under the Government and Management quota have been published on the official website of CENTAC. Following this, candidates can now start registering for the stray vacancy round, using the dashboard login credentials after referring to the vacancies published on the CENTAC official website.

According to the notice issued in this regard, for stray round admission to first-year PG Medical (MD and MS) courses in government and self-financed medical colleges of the Union Territory of Puducherry, submission of willingness, link for payment of full tuition fees prescribed for PG Medical (MD and MS) and filling of course preferences under Government and Management (MQ) quota is enabled till 22 February 2025, 5.00 PM.

It is mandatory to submit a willingness, pay full tuition fees if applicable and fill in course preferences to participate in the said counselling. However, it is to be noted that, if the course preference list is empty, the candidate will not be considered for allotment. Also, the candidate is requested to submit a declaration form, failing which the candidate will not be considered for the allotment.

ELIGIBILITY FOR REGISTERING FOR STRAY VACANCY ROUND

1 Candidates who are in admitted status in Round 3 (joined in Round 1 or Round 2 also) in All India Quota or State Quota.

2. Candidates who have been allotted any seat in Round 3 or in any Stray Round in All India Quota or State Quota but who have not joined.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES

1 Candidates opting for PG Medical (MD and MS) need to pay full tuition fees.

2 Only those Candidates who pay the full Tuition Fee (SC and ST candidates registering for Government Quota should pay 25% of the Tuition Fees) will be considered for Stray Round.

3 For those candidates who paid the Registration Fee and were not allotted a seat in Round 3 need to pay the balance of the Full Tuition Fee, as applicable, for the Stray Round and submit course preferences.

PAYMENT OF FULL TUITION FEE

To participate in the Stray Round counselling, the candidates are required to pay the Full Tuition Fee as mentioned below-

However, the fees for some non-clinical courses in private self-financed colleges have been reduced, which has been published on the official website of CENTAC. Therefore, students are advised to make the payment accordingly. Although, the seat allotment will be done only based on payment of full tuition fees for the respective courses in the stray round.

REFUND/FORFEITURE OF FEES TO BE PAID FOR STRAY ROUND

i In case the candidate is not allotted any seat during the Stray Round, the Full Tuition Fee paid as applicable, will be refunded to the same account of the candidate from which payment had been made.

ii Otherwise, if the seat is allotted and the candidate does not join the course, the Full Tuition fee amount will be forfeited and such a candidate will be debarred from taking the NEET exam next year.

iii If a candidate is allotted a seat in the stray Round and joins the allotted seat, the fee paid will be adjusted against the Tuition fee, if any.

iv Therefore, it is advised that the candidate makes a thoughtful decision before submitting course preferences for Stray vacancy counselling.

Moreover, as per the list of vacancies in PG Medical Courses after round 3, a total of 57 seats are vacant. Of these, a total of 19 seats are vacant in the Government Quota and a total of 38 seats are vacant in the Management quota including Christian and Telugu seats.
