PG Medical, Dental admissions 2023: BFUHS Releases Revised Schedule After Lowering Of Cutoff Percentile
Faridkot: Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has released the revised schedule for 3rd round of PG Medical/Dental online counseling after the lowering of the cutoff percentile.
The candidates can carry out the registration process till 25.09.2023 (up to 5.00 PM). Fresh registered candidates will have to submit willingness along with a security deposit for 3rd online counseling, failing which their candidature will not be considered. The willingness can be submitted up to 25.09.2023. The last date of correction/editing by fresh registered candidates in the online filled application form up to 25.09.2023 (up to 5.00 PM). Thereafter application will be locked automatically. Once information is filled and locked, it will not be allowed to change in any round of counseling
The last date for submitting the admission application form for the NRI quota is 25.09.2023. Application form for getting an Eligibility certificate and admission application form for NRI candidates is separately available on the University website.
The NEET PG-2023 candidates who became eligible as per Government of India, Directorate General of Health Services, Medical Counselling Committee Notice Ref. U-12021/02/2023-MEC dated 20.09.2023 vide which the cutoff percentile was reduced for admission to PG Medical Courses to “ZERO” for all categories will have to pay the security deposit for fresh applicants along with the fee of Rs. 5000+18%GST (Rs. 5900) and Rs. 2500+18%GST (Rs. 2950 for SC candidates) through the university payment portal. NBE revises the cutoff percentile(marks) for NEET MDS, New Delhi vide Notice dated 21.09.2023 as 18.193 (168 marks) for General Category UR/EWS, for UR-PWD 13.193 (149 marks) and for SC/ST/OBC as 8.193 (125 marks).
The amount of security to be deposited for submitting willingness will be as under –
1. For Government colleges - Rs. 25000/- (half for SC/BC)
2. For both Govt. & Private Colleges – Rs. 200000/-
3. For Private Colleges – Rs. 200000/-
Once information is filled and locked, it will not be allowed to change in any round of counseling.
The candidates who will apply under the Sikh Minority/Christian Minority Quota will report to the respective minority institution (SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences, Amritsar / Christian Minority College, Ludhiana) for verification of minority status. The date of reporting is 27.09.2023 up to 2.00 PM. The candidates who have already verified their minority status at the time of 1st & 2nd counselling, need not report to the respective institute for verification again. The candidates who have already registered under Minority Quota during the 1st & 2nd counseling and did not get their minority status verified can report to the respective institute for verification of their minority status for the 3rd round of counseling.
The provisional merit list will be displayed up to 28.09.2023. Candidates who will submit willingness for the 3rd round, including NRI candidates, will fill/submit the online choices/ preferences of specialty/college, and this can be done from 29.09.2023 to 03.10.2023. The processing of seat allotment will be done from 04.10.2023 to 05.10.2023. Display of provisional allotment/result will be done on 07.10.2023.
The last date/time of submission of objections to the provisional allotment (if any) by the NEET PG aspirants can be done till 08.10.2023(up to 2:00 PM). Objections can be submitted only by personal appearance/visit along with relevant documents/records in the Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot.
In case there is any change in provisional allotment after considering objections, the same will be displayed on the university website up to 08.10.2023. The provisionally selected candidates will pay the balance amount of the fee (A six-month fee after deducting the amount of the security deposit) through the university payment gateway available on the university website and will report to the respective college for joining in the respective allotted college. The joining process can be carried out from 09.10.2023 to 10.10.2023.
Only in-service doctors who have rendered a minimum of one year of regular service up to 31.03.2023 as per Punjab Govt. notification are eligible for admission to DNB Courses i.e. doctors who are working as PCMS, Rural Medical Officers in the Department of Rural Development, doctors in Municipal Corporations under the Department of Local Bodies and doctors working in various Boards and Corporations of Punjab Govt. If any candidate submits wrong data while submitting online preferences regarding eligibility for the DNB course or wrongly submits that he/she is in service candidate and the seat to whom will be allotted on submission of wrong information, then he/she will not be allowed to join and will be debarred for further rounds of counseling. The security deposit of such candidates will also be forfeited on account of wrong information.
