PG Medical, Diploma Seats Remain Vacant After Completion Of All Counseling Rounds in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Karnataka
Delhi: PG Medical and PG Diploma seats remain vacant after completing all rounds of counselling. The counselling authorities have not been able to fill all the seats allotted for PG Medical and PG Diploma.
Media reports from TOI suggest that 1229 PG Medical seats and 82 PG Diploma seats are vacant in Tamil Nadu. As far as Maharashtra is concerned, 325 PG Medical seats are still vacant. 268 PG Medical seats are vacant in Karnataka as well.
P Wilson MP has requested the Union Health Minister to intervene and direct the Director General of Health Services to have another round of counselling to fill the vacant seats. He has shared the letters written to the Union Health Minister through his Twitter handle.

Recently Medical Dialogues team reported that Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the total admitted candidates list in MD, MS, DNB, and Deemed for PG 2022 counselling process. The index consists of Roll No, Name, Quota Name, AIR, Category, Sub Category, Options No, Institute Code, Institute, Subject, Allotted Category, Allotted PH, and Admitted Round.
NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, read with 10 (D) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, is valid for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses. Qualifying NEET-PG is mandatory for entry to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses under various Universities/ Institutions in the country. NEET PG is compulsory even for foreign nationals seeking admission to medical courses in India.
