Registration process for NEET special stray vacancy round ends today: CENTAC

Puducherry: The registration process for special stray vacancy round of NEET counselling in Puducherry is going to end today.

The centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) has issues a Notice on Special Stray Counselling Registration for B.D.S. (MQ) / BAMS (GQ&MQ) courses in Government and Self Financing colleges in the UT of Puducherry. Candidates may participate after submitting willingness and payment of Registration fee and filling of Course preferences till 09.11.2023, 5.00 pm.

The Medical Counselling Committee, Directorate General of Health Services, Govt. of India have prescribed the following conditions for conduct of Special Stray Vacancy Round for unfilled B.D.S. seats:

⮚ Candidates who are not holding any seat either in All India Quota or State Quota are eligible to participate in Special Stray Vacancy Round. However, candidates who did not join their seats allotted through MCC / State counselling Round-3 onwards are ‘Not Eligible’ to participate.

⮚ The Security Deposit of Candidates who do not join their allotted seat in Special Stray Vacancy Round will be forfeited and such candidates will be debarred from taking NEET exam for the next year.

⮚ The data of the Allotted Candidates of Special Stray vacancy round conducted by MCC will be shared with states and candidates who are allotted seats by MCC will be debarred from taking admission in state counseling.

SPECIAL STRAY REGISTRATION FOR COUNSELLING BY CENTAC

Special Stray Registration for admission to the first year BDS/ BVSc&AH (National SS) courses under Management Quota and BAMS under Government Quota and Management Quota in the UT of Puducherry is opened on 08.11.2023.

Candidates may participate after submitting willingness, payment of Registration fee and filling of Course preferences.

FRESH candidates for B.D.S. & B.A.M.S.

Fresh Applications are also invited from NEET (UG) qualified candidates for admission to the first year unfilled vacant seats in B.D.S. Management Quota & B.A.M.S. Government Quota and Management Quota for the Academic year 2023-24 in Government / Self-financing Colleges in the UT of Puducherry for the vacancies as on 08/11/2023. Interested candidates can apply online on or before 09.11.2023, 5.00 PM.

Fresh candidates will be considered for allotment after exhausting the existing merit list.

Application Fee (Non-refundable) :

For B.D.S. : Government Quota : Rs. 1000 /- and Management Quota : Rs. 2000 /.

ELIGIBILITY FOR SPECIAL STRAY ROUND

1. All candidates who had opted for Government and Management Quota and registered with CENTAC are eligible as per the availability of vacancies published in the website.

2. However, candidates who have joined any of the NEET based course in ROUND 1/ROUND 2 / ROUND 3 or allotted any seat in Round 3/ in any further Stray Rounds of M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. / B.A.M.S. are NOT eligible for Special Stray counselling.

3. Government Quota candidates may opt for Management Quota B.D.S. seats,

4. Unfilled B.A.M.S. Government Quota seats will be converted to B.A.M.S. Self-Supporting seats with the TUITION FEE of Rs. 200000 /-. So, Management Quota candidates may opt for B.A.M.S. self-supporting seats also.

SUBMISSION OF WILLINGNESS AND COURSE PREFERENCES

● All candidates registering for Special Stray Counseling should submit willingness and course preferences afresh for this SPECIAL STRAY VACANCY ROUND and pay registration fee.

● Please note that if no course preference is made or the list for preference is found empty then NO seat will be allotted.

PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE FOR B.D.S. / B.A.M.S. / B.V.Sc.&A.H. :

The candidates are required to pay the registration fee mentioned below, to participate in the special stray counselling round:

 The candidates are requested to pay the REGISTRATION FEE to CENTAC account through NET BANKING or by generating NEFT / RTGS challan using the payment option available in the dashboard login credentials and proceed for payment.

 The amount to be paid is editable before generating challan.

 The amount filled in the challan should be paid without quoting any commission amount, otherwise the amount will be reverted back to the candidate account. Read the HELP Instructions carefully before proceeding for payment.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE

1. Candidates opting for B.D.S./ B.A.M.S. / B.V.Sc.&A.H. need to pay Registration Fee as mentioned above.

2. Only those Candidates who pay the REGISTRATION FEE will be considered for Stray counseling. If seat is allotted the Registration fee will be adjusted with Tuition Fee.

3. Candidates who have already paid any Registration fee of Rs. 200000 /- in Round 2 or Round 3 or Stray rounds and not allotted any seat need not pay the REGISTRATION FEE and submit course preferences.

4. Candidates who have paid less than the Registration fee of Rs. 50000 /-in Round 2 or Round 3 and not allotted a seat, need to pay the balance REGISTRATION FEE and submit course preferences.

5. Candidates who had paid Registration fee and allotted M.B.B.S. in Round 2 but did not JOIN, their Registration Fee has been forfeited. So, they need to pay the REGISTRATION FEE again.

6. Candidates who did not join their seats allotted through MCC / any State counselling Round-3 onwards are ‘Not Eligible’ to participate.

FORFEITURE OF TUITION FEE

1. During Special Stray counselling, seats will be allotted only after the REGISTRATION FEE ispaid to CENTAC. If the student fails to join the allotted college after Special Stray counseling, then

amount paid as Registration Fee will be forfeited.

2. Therefore, it is advised that candidates may be cautious and exercise due application of mind and take a thoughtful decision before making the choice for seat in Stray counselling.

REFUND OF REGISTRATION FEE

(i) In case the candidate is not allotted any seat during Stray, the fee paid will be refunded after Stray vacancy counseling to the same account of the candidate from which payment had been made.

(ii) The candidates should keep their bank account active until refund process is completed. The candidates are advised not to use unrelated bank accounts for remitting fee amount. CENTAC will not entertain such requests.

Special Stray Registration ends on : 09/11/2023, 5 p.m
