Share joined candidates' data- MCC gives deadline to State Counselling authorities

New Delhi- Through a notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has asked all the state counselling authorities to share the data of joined candidates of all the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) Counselling rounds for the academic year 2024-25.
The notice has been issued to all the Directors of DME and State Counselling Authorities of all the States and Union Territories stating that it is mandatory to shortlist candidates who have appeared through State counselling before the stray vacancies for PG counselling are announced. The Round 3 of PG Counselling 2024 is about to get over and the Stray Vacancy Round of PG Counselling 2025 is going to start.
Therefore, all the state counselling authorities are requested to share the data of joined candidates of all rounds held so far on the intramcc portal provided by MCC latest upto 05:00 P.M of 11 February 2025 so that candidates holding a seat in state colleges are weeded out before seat processing of Stray Vacancy Round of All India PG counselling being conducted by MCC.
The decision has been taken following the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the contempt petition. The notice said, "As per directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in Contempt Petition© No. 289 of 2022 in W.P No. 223 of 2022 “Shubhankar Patnaik Vs. K. Ramesh Reddy & Ors”.
Meanwhile, MCC has also released the list of appeared candidates of Round 1, Round 2 and Round 3 of AIQ PG counselling 2024 for weeding out by the state counselling authorities. Candidates who appeared through All India Counselling must be shortlisted by the state counselling authorities before any next state counselling round.
Recently, MCC has released the list of admitted candidates up to Round 3 in MD, MS, DNB and Deemed Postgraduate (PG) for the academic year 2024 counselling. The list has been released on the official website of the MCC.
