Tamil Nadu begins registrations for MBBS, BDS Admissions 2026, apply now

Tamil Nadu: Even before the results of the national entrance exam, NEET 2026, are declared, the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee has begun accepting online applications for MBBS and BDS admissions from today, offering students across the state the opportunity to take the first formal step towards securing a medical or dental seat.
The application portal has gone live on the official TN Medical Selection website. The committee has not announced the last date to apply for MBBS and BDS admissions at Tamil Nadu government, deemed and private medical colleges yet for the academic year 2026-27.
STEPS TO APPLY
STEP 1- Visit the official website
STEP 2- On the homepage, click on ‘online registration for admission to MBBS BDS 2026’ under ‘notification’.
STEP 3- You will be redirected to a new page, and select the quota you wish to apply for
STEP 4- Click on ‘click here for new registration’ at the end of the page
STEP 5- Fill in the details and register
STEP 6- Log in using the registration number
STEP 7- Fill in the form, make a payment, and upload documents
STEP 8- Preview, read carefully and click on ‘submit’
STEP 9- Download the duly filled application form.
DOCUMENTS
1 NEET- UG re-exam 2026 admit card and score card
2 Class 10 mark sheet
3 Class 11 mark sheet
4 HSC mark sheet
5 Transfer certificate obtained after the completion of the Plus Two exams or equivalent courses
6 Certificate for proof of study from class 6 to class 12
7 Nativity certificate for the candidates who have partly studied outside Tamil Nadu from class 6 to 12
8 Candidates who are natives of Tamil Nadu and have studied from class 6 to class 12 in schools of Tamil Nadu (supporting documents)
9 Permanent Community Certificate Card.
10 First Graduate Certificate (if applicable).
11 The candidates who claim the benefit of a First Graduate should submit their certificate issued by the competent authority to their respective Colleges on securing admission.
The State Selection Committee conducts admissions for 85% of the seats in government medical colleges and for all seats in self-financed and state private universities.
