Telangana PG medical admissions 2025: Rs 50 lakh penalty for leaving seat midway

Warangal: Candidates getting admitted to postgraduate medical degree and diploma courses at Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) will have to pay Rs 50 lakh as a penalty to the university if they fail to complete the course.
The details regarding the service bond and seat-leaving bond were published in the prospectus released by the KNRUHS for admission into PG medical degree and diploma courses under the competent authority quota for in-service and non-service candidates for the academic year 2025-2026.
As per the prospectus, the seat-leaving bond conditions laid down by KNRUHS are as follows:
"All the candidates including In-service candidates joining into the Post Graduate degree, diploma courses shall execute bond on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100/- as prescribed in Annexure-II to the effect that he / she shall complete the prescribed period of training or in default to pay Rs.50,00,000/- (Rupees Fifty Lakhs only) to the KNRUHS and shall refund the amount received as stipend/salary upto that date to the Government."
At the time of admission, the candidates will have to execute a seat-leaving bond on a non-judicial stamp paper for Rs 100/- with the following undertaking:
"I, Dr........selected for Post Graduate Degree/Diploma for the year 2025-26 do hereby undertake to complete the said course as per the requirements of the University. In the event of my leaving the studies after joining the course, I undertake to pay to the KNR University of Health Sciences a sum of Rs.50,00,000/- (Rupees Fifty lakhs only) and refund the amount received as stipend/salary up to that date to Government."
The document will have the signature, name and address of two sureties, name and signature of the candidate, along with the name and signature of a parent.
Medical Dialogues had earlier reported that the non-service candidates getting admitted to postgraduate medical degree and diploma courses at Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) will have to submit a bond at the time of admission with an undertaking to serve the State Government for a period of one year.
For this, such candidates will have to submit a bond of Rs 10 lakh for admission into the PG Diploma courses and Rs 20 lakh on admission into PG Degree courses.
