TN Health Announces Tentative Round 2 Counselling Schedule For DNB, MDS, PG medical admissions, details
Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Health (TN Health) has announced the tentative round 2 counselling schedule for DNB Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 Years Diploma, MDS Degree, PG Degree, and Diploma Courses.
Detailed schedule –
1. Registration/ Payment – up to 04-09-2023 05:00 PM
2. Choice Filling & Locking - 06-09-2023 10.00 AM - 08-09-2023 05.00 PM
3. Processing of Seat Allotment - 09-09-2023 to 10-09-2023
4. Result - 11-09-2023
5. Downloading the Provisional Allotment Order - 12-09-2023
6. Last Date of Joining - 14-09-2023 05.00 PM
The following can apply -
DNB Post Diploma and Post MBBS 2 Years Diploma –
Rank - all eligible candidates as per merit list
MDS Degree –
1. Rank - GQ 001 to GQ 661 - MQ 001 to MQ 336
2. NEET MARK - 743 TO 238 - 612 TO 238
PG Degree and Diploma Courses –
1. Rank - GQ GR 001 TO GR 7526 - MQ GR 001 TO GR 3036
2. NEET MARK - 708.25 to 257 - 677 to 257
Candidates participating in the online choice filling for DNB, MDS Degree, PG Degree, and Diploma Courses must remit a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs.1000/- for Government Quota. For management quota, MDS Degree, PG Degree, and Diploma Courses and Courses must remit a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs.1000.
At the time of registration, the candidate will have to pay a Refundable Security Deposit (If already paid, need not pay again) for the Government Quota –
1. For Government Medical Colleges and Government Dental Colleges – Rs. 30000 (DNB, MDS Degree, PG Degree, and Diploma Courses)
2. For Government Quota seats in Self-Financing Dental College - Rs. 100000 (MDS Degree, PG Degree, and Diploma Courses)
At the time of registration, the candidate will have to pay a Refundable Security Deposit (If already paid, need not pay again) for the Management Quota –
1. For Management Quota including Minority/ NRI Category seats in Self-Financing Dental Colleges - Rs.200000
Candidates will have the option of filling in all the seats they have applied to. Candidates should be careful while choices filling. Candidates can edit their choices any number of times before locking, but once locked, they will not be allowed to edit. Hence, candidates are requested to check their choices and the order of preference before locking. If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date, their choices will be automatically locked.
Seat Matrix for the Course will be available on the official websites.
Virtual Vacancies- Any Candidate who has been allotted a seat in Round 1 and has opted for up-gradation in Round 2, that allotted seat of Round 1 will be shown as a virtual vacancy in Round2; any candidate can fill the said seat (virtual seat) during the choice filling in Round 2. However, such a seat will be allotted in Round 2 only, if the allotted candidate of Round 1 vacates that seat. Thus, that virtual vacancy becomes a real vacancy; it is open to all in the order of merit.

Admission to the above courses shall be made by online counselling on the basis of rank by applying the rule of reservation. Request for a change of course or College, from one to another is not permitted after final locking.
The Selected candidate can download the Provisional allotment order on the official website www.tnhealth,tn.gov.in and www.tnmedicalselection.org. The re-allotted/allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.
The Selected candidate has to pay the tuition fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order online via Debit Card / Credit Card/Net Banking. The re-allotted candidates who already paid the tuition fee in Round I of online counselling must only pay the difference (if any) amount.
The candidates should produce their original certificates in person at the time of joining their selected Colleges, along with a scanned copy of the original certificates for verification. If they do not report to the Head of the Institution to which you are allotted on or before the time and date specified, your selection and/or admission will be cancelled without any further notice.
The candidates selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned College that they are liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
