TN Health Begins Registration, Choice Filling Process of Stray Vacancy Round For MBBS, BDS admissions
Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu Health (TN Health) has begun the registration and choice-filling process for the stray vacancy round for NEET UG (MBBS, BDS) courses.
The detailed schedule has been released for admission to Government Dental Colleges, Government and management Quota (including Minority & NRI Lapsed) seats in Self Financing Medical/ Dental Colleges, State Private Universities and BDS degree courses in Government Dental Colleges and government Quota seats in Self Financing Dental Colleges for 7.5% seat reservation for government school students only.
Detailed schedule –
1. Registration Choice Filling & Locking – up to 25-09-2023 05:00 PM
2. Processing of Seat Allotment - 26-09-2023
3. Result - 26-09-2023
4. Downloading the Provisional Allotment Order - From 27-09-2023 to 29-09-2023 05:00 PM
5. Last Date of Reporting - till 30-09-2023 03:00 PM
For admission to BDS degree courses in Government Dental Colleges and government Quota seats in Self Financing Dental Colleges for 7.5% seat reservation for government school students only, no new registration is required.
The following can apply –
Government Dental Colleges, Government & Management Quota (incl. Minority & NRI Lapsed) seats in Self Financing Medical/ Dental Colleges, State Private Universities –
1. Rank - GQ GR 001 TO GR 25856 MQ GR 001 TO GR 13179
2. NEET Mark - 720 TO 107, 715 TO 107
BDS degree courses in Government Dental Colleges & Government Quota seats in Self Financing Dental Colleges for 7.5% seat reservation for government school students –
1. RANK - GR 001 TO GR 2993
2. NEET MARK - 569 TO 107
Candidates who are participating in the online choice filling for MBBS/BDS Degree Courses will have to remit a non-refundable Registration Fee of Rs.500/- for Government Quota and Rs. 1000/- for Management Quota. No Processing Fee, security deposit, or Tuition Fee is applicable for 7.5% Special Reservation for the Tamil Nadu Govt. School Students.
At the time of registration, the candidate will have to pay a Refundable Security Deposit for the Government Quota –
1. For Government Medical Colleges – Nil
2. For Government Dental Colleges – Nil
3. For Government Quota seats in Govt. Quota seats in Self-Financing Medical / Dental College& State Private University - Rs.30000/-
SC/SCA/ST candidates are Exempted from Security deposit if their annual Income is less than 2.5 Lakhs. Converts to Christianity from Scheduled Castes candidates are Exempted from Security deposit if their annual Income is less than 2.5 Lakhs.
At the time of registration, the candidate will have to pay a Refundable Security Deposit for the Management Quota –
Management Quota including Minority / NRI Lapsed Category seats in Self-Financing Medical / Dental College & State Private Universities - Rs.100000/-
The candidates who have participated and paid their Registration Fee & Security Deposit, but were not allotted any MBBS/BDS seats in previous rounds (i.e., R1/ R2/ MOP_UP) need not pay again. Joined candidates of Tamil Nadu State counseling (i.e., R1/ R2/ MOP_UP) will not be eligible to participate in this round of online counseling. Allotted candidates in the Mop-Up round will not be eligible to participate in this round of online counseling (even if they have not joined/ discontinued).
All candidates should read the Prospectus thoroughly before starting choice filling. They should be careful while choosing filling. Candidates will have the option of choice filling in the categories for which they have applied. They can edit their choices any number of times before locking, but once locked, they will not be allowed to edit.
If the candidates do not lock their choices till the last date (25/09/2023, 5 PM), their choices will be automatically locked. Once the candidates lock their choice during the online counseling, it cannot be changed later. Allotted candidates during the Mop-Up round will not be eligible for the Stray Vacancy round. Admission to MBBS/BDS degree courses shall be made by online counseling on the basis of rank by applying the rule of reservation.
If the candidates are allotted in the Stray Vacancy round, they will have to join the allotted college. The allotted candidate for MBBS seats in all colleges under all categories and BDS seats in Government Dental Colleges has to pay the Tuition Fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order through online via Debit Card / Credit Card/Net Banking.
Considering the absence of Re-allotment and time constraints in Mop-up and Stray Rounds, downloading of allotment order by the candidate is considered as joining as per the prospectus, and the candidate has to report to the institution within the reporting time.
Failure to report will be considered as discontinuation, and the candidate should pay the Discontinuation fee as per Clause 23 of Government Quota Prospectus/ Clause 20 of Management Quota Prospectus if he/she fails to report before the stipulated time.
The Selected candidates (MBBS seats) belonging to SC/SCA/ST/ SCC who have been allotted seats in Govt. Quota and Management Quota in self-financing Medical colleges are exempted from paying tuition fees for downloading the allotment order if the annual income of Parents/Guardians is less than 2.5 Lakhs.
The Selected candidate (BDS seats in Self Financing Dental Colleges) has to pay the Tuition Fee at the time of admission to the colleges directly as per G.O(D) No.868 Health and Family Welfare(MCA-1) Department dated.18.07.2023 as detailed in the Notification No.010/SCS1(1)/2023 dated 19.07.2023.
The fee structure is available on the official websites www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in and www.tnmedicalselection.net. All candidates should make sure, that sufficient fund is available in their bank account with an expanded credit/Transaction limit while remitting their Tuition Fee. The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.
TN Health has further notified that the certificate verification will be done in the selected colleges itself. The candidates should produce their original certificates in person at the time of joining their selected Colleges, along with a scanned copy of the original certificates for verification. If the candidates do not report to the Head of the Institution to which they are allotted on or before the time and date specified, your selection and/or admission will be canceled without any further notice.
The candidates selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned College that they are liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
