TN Health begins Round 3 NEET counselling 2025, check complete schedule, guidelines

Tamil Nadu: The Tamil Nadu medical education department (TN Health) has released the tentative round 3 counselling schedule for admission to MBBS and BDS Degree courses.
The schedule has been released on the official website of TN Health. As per the schedule, the round 3 counselling is commencing today, i.e. 06th October 2025 and will end on 22 October 2025.
Below is the complete schedule-

VIRTUAL VACANCIES
1 Any candidate who has been allotted a seat in Round 1 or Round 2 and has opted for upgradation by registering on the website in Round 3, that allotted seat of Round 1 or Round 2 will be shown as a virtual vacancy in Round 3 and all candidates can fill their choice for the said seat during the choice filling in Round 3. However, such seats will be allotted in Round 3, only if the allotted candidate of Round 1 or Round 2 vacates/upgrades in Round 3, then that virtual vacancy becomes a real vacancy.
2 All candidates should read the Prospectus thoroughly before starting choice filling.
3 Candidates should be careful while choice filling.
4 If the candidate does not lock his/her choices till the last date (14.10.2025 AT 05.00 PM) their choices will be automatically locked.
REPORTING TO ALLOTTED COLLEGE
1 The Certificate Verification will be done in the selected colleges themselves.
2 The candidates should produce their original certificates in person at the time of joining their selected Colleges along with a scanned copy of their original certificates for verification.
3 If you do not report to the Head of the Institution to which you are allotted on or before the time and date specified, your selection and/or admission will be cancelled without any further notice.
4 The Candidate selected for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of reporting to the concerned College that he/she is liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts, misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALLOTTED CANDIDATES
1 If a candidate is allotted in Round 3, he/she will have to join the allotted college. Allotted candidates during Round 3 will not be eligible for the Subsequent Stray Vacancy round (and additional rounds if any).
2 The allotted candidate for MBBS seats in all colleges under all categories and BDS seats in Government Dental Colleges has to pay the Tuition Fee for downloading the Provisional allotment order through online via Debit Card / Credit Card/Net Banking.
3 The selected candidates belonging to SC/SCA/ST/ SCC who have been allotted a seat in the Govt. Quota and Management Quota in self-financing Medical colleges are exempted from paying tuition fee for downloading the allotment order if the annual income of the Parents/ Guardian is less than 2.5 Lakhs.
4 All candidates should make sure sufficient funds are available in their bank account with an expanded credit/Transaction limit while remitting their Tuition Fee.
5 The allotted candidates should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College/Institution on or before the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the Provisional Allotment Order.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1 Candidates who had registered for Round-1 or Round-2 and did not get any seat allotted are not required to register again. Also, candidates who have been allotted but not joined in Round-1 or Round-2 need not register again.
2 Candidates who have joined the seats in Round-1 or Round-2 and wish to opt for upgradation need not pay the Registration fee again, but they have to log in during the Registration Window to confirm their participation in Round 3 so as to include their seats as Virtual Vacancies.
3 Fresh registration is permitted in Round-3 for those candidates who have not registered in Round-1 or Round-2 (with full payment of fees). But, candidates should have already applied to the Tamil Nadu Medical Selection Committee and their names should be in the Merit List already published.
4 Candidates who wish to retain their seats (who don’t want a change in college) need not participate in this Round.
5 Candidates whose names are in the allotted list provided by MCC at the end of Round 3 will not be eligible for State Quota Round 3 counselling.
6 If opted for and upgraded in Round 3, the candidate has to relinquish the seat from Round 1 or Round 2 and join the Round 3 allotted seat. He/She will not have any rights over the Round-1 or Round-2 seats.
7 Round- 3 choice filling will follow the registration and candidates who wish for upgradation, un-allotted candidates and not joined candidates have to fill their choices.
8 Candidates should be careful while choice filling and it is advisable to choose preferred colleges only.
9 Candidate could edit their Choice(s) but once the candidate locks their choice(s) during the online counselling, it cannot be changed later.
10 Once the candidate has joined the seat in Round 3, the candidate cannot upgrade or resign from this seat.
