TN Health invites applications for PG medical admissions under management quota, check complete details

TN Health invites applications for PG medical admissions Under Competent Quota.

Tamil Nadu- The Tamil Nadu (TN) Health is inviting applications for admission to postgraduate degree and diploma courses in Management Quota, including NRIs of Self-Financed Medical Colleges in Tamil Nadu, for the academic year 2025-26.

In this regard, TN Health has released a prospectus detailing the application fee, security deposit, eligibility criteria, counselling process, etc., for admission to postgraduate degree and diploma courses in Tamil Nadu.

The application process for admission to Postgraduate Degree and Diploma Courses has already started from 09th September 2025, 12:00 Noon and will end on 16th September 2025 at 05:00 PM. However, the declaration of ranks, tentative dates of counselling, commencement of courses and closure of admissions will be informed later.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1 Candidates should be citizens of India.

2 Eligibility of Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders for NEET (PG) 2024.

Meanwhile, the following guidelines should be followed regarding admission to Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses under NRI quota seats in the Self Financing Medical Colleges 2024-2025 session-

1 Candidates should be of Indian Origin and settled in foreign countries.

OR

Candidates who were born in foreign countries and whose parents are of Indian Origin.

OR

Children of Indian citizens staying abroad for employment and business.

OR

Children of Indian citizens deputed abroad by a Public Sector Undertaking.

OR

Children of the Official of the Central / State Government on deputation abroad.

NON-ELIGIBILITY

1 Candidates who have joined a Post Graduate Degree / Diploma course in any Branch and who have discontinued the course on any ground on or after the specified date mentioned by the Selection Committee as per the guidelines of the National Medical Commission / MCC, the candidates shall be considered as discontinued and should pay the Discontinuation fee.

2 The candidates who have downloaded the allotment order for PG Degree / Diploma courses in any branch in Round 3 of counselling must join the courses. If not, he/she shall be considered as discontinued and should pay the discontinuation fee.

3 Candidates who are currently undergoing a Postgraduate Degree / DNB / Equivalent / Diploma courses are not eligible to apply for any Postgraduate Degree / Diploma Courses.

4 Candidates who have already completed a Post Graduate Degree / DNB / Equivalent Courses are not eligible to apply for admission to any other Post Graduate Degree / Diploma Courses.

5 A candidate who is already a Diploma holder is not eligible to apply for another Diploma course, but can apply for any Post Graduate Degree Course.

PROCEDURE FOR FILLING & SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION

1 The candidate should log on to the TN Health official website. Online portal for applying for admission to PG courses will be available between 09 September 2025 and upto 16 September 2025 as per server time.

2 Change of particulars in the online Application shall not be entertained under any circumstances after submission.

3 Incomplete online applications will not be accepted.

4 Candidates are advised to submit only one online Application.

5 Candidates should ensure that all information entered in the online application is true and correct.

APPLICATION, REGISTRATION & SECURITY FEE

At the time of Application, all candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs 5,000/- online; however, the application fee is non-refundable. In addition, candidates are also required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs 1000/- at the time of registration for counselling.

Along with this, for Management Quota in Self-Financing Medical Colleges, candidates need to pay a security deposit of Rs. 2,00,000/-. The security deposit will be refunded to the candidates who could not get any seat in any phase of counselling within three months after the end of the entire counselling process. No interest amount for the security deposit will be paid to the candidates.

DOCUMENTS

Candidates must upload only visibly clear Self-attested Photocopies of certificates or documents listed below-

1 NEET PG 2024-Score Card.

2 NEET PG 2024-Admit Card.

3 Degree Certificate and Diploma Certificate, or Provisional Pass Certificate.

4 CRRI Completion Certificate.

5 Permanent or provisional Medical Registration Certificate issued by the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council.

6 Community Certificate issued by the Competent authority indicating the Community status of candidates belonging to Backwards Community / Backwards Community (Muslim) / Most Backwards Community / Denotified Communities / Schedule Caste / Schedule Caste (Arunthathiyar). Scheduled Tribe candidates should produce community certificates issued by a Revenue Divisional Officer of the competent jurisdiction.

7 To upload the eligibility certificate obtained from the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University (Only for the candidates who have qualified from other Universities).

8 Clearly visible copy of the Aadhaar Card, Passport or Voter’s ID or Driving license to be uploaded, as a supportive document.

9 The same photo that was uploaded in the NEET PG 2024 exam must be uploaded in a filled-in online application.

10 Postcard-sized colour photographs to be uploaded.

11 Minority certificate (if Applicable).

COUNSELLING PROCEDURE

1 There will be four Rounds of counselling i.e., Round-1, Round-2, Round 3 (Mop up) and Stray Round.

2 Mutual transfer / Individual request for college transfer will not be permitted under any circumstances.

3 Admission to PG Degree / Diploma courses shall be made through online counselling based on rank by applying the rule of reservation.

4 A Candidate who has not registered and is not choice-locked in Round 1 of online counselling will be permitted to attend the subsequent Rounds of online counselling.

5 A candidate who has taken a seat / not joined/resigned from the course within the stipulated time in Round 1 of online counselling he/she is eligible to attend Round 2 of online counselling.

6 Re-allotment is permitted during Round 2 of counselling only based on rank and the rule of reservation.

ROUND 1 OF COUNSELLING

1 All eligible candidates participating in online counselling for PG Degree / Diploma Courses will have to remit a non-refundable amount of ₹ 1000/- through online as registration fee and the fee should be remitted online by logging on to the web portal of our official website.

2 The candidates allotted during Round 1 of the online counselling should download their provisional allotment order and join the course in the concerned Medical College on or before the date and time stipulated.

ROUND 2 OF COUNSELLING

1 Round 2 of online counselling will be conducted for the vacancies arising due to not joined / not allotted/resigned seats and/or newly sanctioned seats arising after the Round 1 counselling. The vacancies will be filled as per rank.

2 A Candidate who has not registered and has not chosen is not locked in the Round 1 of online counselling will be permitted to attend Round 2 of online counselling.

3 A candidate who has taken a seat / not joined/resigned from the course within the stipulated time in Round 1 of online counselling is eligible to attend Round 2 of online counselling.

4 Candidates who have retained their seat allotted during Round 1 beyond the stipulated date, or who have taken a re-allotment seat during Round 2, or candidates who got newly allotted during Round 2 will be permitted to vacate the seat within the stipulated date given by the Selection Committee.

ROUND 3 (MOP UP)

1 After completion of Round 2 of online counselling, the remaining vacancies will be filled with the candidates from the Rank list by online Round 3 (Mop Up) counselling.

2 If the candidate is allotted any seat from his / her locked choices in Rounds 1 and 2 and has joined, then the candidate is eligible for the Round 3 (Mop-up) counselling.

3 If the candidate is allotted but has not joined the course after downloading the allotment order in the Round 3 (Mop up) of online counselling, then they will have to forfeit the Registration fee, Security Deposit and Tuition fee paid by them.

4 A candidate is allotted a seat but has not joined the course and has not downloaded the allotment order in the Round 3 (Mop up) of online counselling, then they will have to forfeit the Registration fee, Security Deposit and Tuition fee paid by them.

STRAY ROUND

1 Candidates who have been allotted and not joined/resigned within the stipulated date and time (Round 1 and Round 2) have to pay the registration fee to participate in the Stray Round.

2 Candidates who freshly register for the Stray Round also need to pay the registration fee.

3 Only Candidates who have not been allotted in Rounds 1, 2 and Round 3 (Mop-up Round) need not pay registration fees.

4 Candidate who discontinued with penalty after the stipulated time cannot participate in further Rounds of counselling.
