TN MBBS, BDS Admissions 2021: 572 seats vacant for mop up round, Check out tentative schedule

Tamil Nadu: Director of Medical Education (DME) has released the number of vacant seats and tentative counselling schedule for the extended Mop-Up round for MBBS and BDS.

As per the recent notification in the self-financing medical colleges (MQ), 572 seats are vacant, which includes 310 MBBS and 262 BDS seats. Government quota 92.5% reservation has 295 seats remain vacant, which includes 45 MBBS and 250 BDS seats. For 7.5% Reservation, 9 seats remain vacant this time, which includes 2 MBBS and 7 BDS seats.

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Medical College and Hospital, this time, has an additional seat of 50 in the extended Mop-Up counselling. Out of 50 seats, 25 seats are government quota, and 25 seats are management quota.

Already 2 rounds of counselling and Mop Up round counselling for MBBS / BDS course got over. 13 candidates are allotted from state quota to All India quota stray round. 13 MBBS seats for government medical colleges will be shown for counselling when it is vacated.

Tentative extended Mop-Up counselling schedule for admission to MBBS/BDS Course Management/ (Telugu & Malayalam& Christian) Minority/NRI Lapsed Quota Seats in Self Financing Medical/Dental Colleges, govt. medical/ dental colleges, govt. seats in self-financing medical/ dental colleges and ESIC Medical College & PGIMSR, KK. Nagar, Chennai as well as for candidates availing 7.5% reservation.

1. Result declared – 8th April 2022.

2. Downloading the provisional allotment order – 8th April 2022.

3. Reporting time – up to 9th April 2022 till 5.00 pm.

Candidates participating in the online counselling for MBBS/BDS Degree Courses will have to remit a non-refundable amount of Rs. 1000 online as a processing fee via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. Candidates who are already paid their Processing fee need not pay again.

DME has further notified that minority seats will be allotted for eligible minority candidates in the minority merit list. Even after there are any unfilled minority seats in SF MBBS/BDS, they will be filled by the general management rank list. Hence candidates can also register and choice lock for management/ minority seats.

Candidates who are waitlisted or not-registered/ not- joined/ discontinued in rounds 1 and 2 and Mop-Up of Management/ Minority/NRI -Lapsed quota online counselling can participate in this counselling. However, candidates who are joined in All India Mop-Up Counselling will not be allowed to participate.

Whileile downloading their provisional allotment, candidates should pay the non-refundable amount of Rs.100000 via Debit Card /Net Banking or Credit Card. Re-allotted candidates need not pay again.

Candidates participating in the online counselling for MBBS/BDS Degree Courses will have to remit a non-refundable amount of Rs.500 online as a processing fee via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. However, candidates who have already paid their Processing fee in previous phases of counselling need not pay again.

SCA/ST seats will be allotted for eligible SCA/ST candidates on the merit list. Even after any unfilled SCA/ST seats in SF BDS, they will be filled by the SC candidates othe than the merit list. Hence SC candidates can also register and choice lock for SCA/ST Seats in SF BDS.

BCM Seats will be allotted to eligible BCM candidates on the merit list. Even after there are any unfilled BCM seats in SF BDS, they will be filled by the BC candidates on the merit list. Hence BC candidates can also register and choice lock for BCM Seats in SF BDS.

Candidates who are not holding seats in All India and state quota counselling will be allowed to participate in this extension Mop-Up counselling. All eligible candidates can participate in this extension Mop-Up counselling because 50 seats are shown for the 1st time in this counselling.

Candidates who are joined in All India Mop-Up counselling will not be allowed to participate in this counselling.

If a candidate is getting a seat in MBBS/BDS course in this round that is holding a seat in management/ minority/ NRI Page 3 of 4 lapsed quota in rounds 1/2/Mop-Up, that seat will be automatically cancelled, and that seat will be shown as vacant in extended Mop-Up Counselling of management quota.

If a candidate is getting a seat in MBBS/BDS course in this GQ extended Mop-Up, will not be allowed in MQ extended Mop-Up. If a candidate is getting a seat in MBBS/BDS course in this GQ extension Mop-Up round, should have to join the course on the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the provisional allotment order.

To download the allotment order, the selected candidate has to pay a non-refundable amount of tuition fee. The fee can be paid online. Re-allotted candidates need not pay again.

Candidates who are not holding seats in All India and state quota online counselling will be allowed to participate in this extension Mop-Up counselling. However, candidates who are joined in All India Mop-Up Counselling will not be allowed to participate in this counselling.

If a candidate is getting a seat in MBBS/BDS course in this GQ extension Mop-Up round, should have to join the course on the stipulated date and time as mentioned in the provisional allotment order.

Candidates, who are willing for re-allotment, will have to register. Then their allotted seat (allotted in the 1st / 2nd /Mop-Up round of counselling) will be open for choice filling in counselling of the Mop-Up round. Re-allotted candidates must get relieved from the earlier institutions and join in allotted college.

If the candidate gets MBBS/BDS seat in re-allotment, then the MBBS/BDS seat allotted in previous rounds of counselling will be allotted to other candidates in descending order, not ascending order.

The candidates should produce their original certificates in person when joining their selected colleges and the scanned copy of the original certificates. If they do not report to the Head of the Institution to which they are allotted on or before the time and date specified, their selection will be cancelled.

The selected candidates for admission should give a self-declaration form at the time of the reporting to the concerned college that they are liable for forfeiture of selection/admission if suppression of facts or misinterpretation is found at any time during or after the admission to the course.

No new registration and Choice locking for stray vacancies. The choices exercised by candidates in the extended Mop-Up round will be considered for the allotment of seats for a stray vacancy roundThe selection committee will carry out stray vacancies on 8th April 2022. Even after there are any unfilled seats, the Institutions will fill stray vacancies from 8th April 2022 to 9th April 2022.
