UCMS invites Online Applications For BSC Medical Technology Radiography, details

Delhi: University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) has begun the online application process for BSC Medical Technology Radiography.

Detailed schedule –

1. Last date for submission of the application form duly completed in all respect through online mode only, along with an application fee of Rs.1000/- (for SC/ST/PWD Rs. 500) through the online portal (www.ucms.ac.in/common/onlinepayment) already available in the application form - 5th May 2023 (Up to 04:00 PM)

2. Download the Admit Card through the College website: i.e., www.ucms.ac.in - 15th May 2023

3. Date of entrance examination - 20th May 2023

4. Date for notification of the result by the University of Delhi, to be notified on the College Website – to be notified later

5. Date for holding the counseling for admission. To be notified on the College Website - to be notified later

6. Commencement of the Academic Session 2023-2024 - to be notified by the College

7. To be notified by the College - to be notified by the College

Application procedure –

1. The prospectus shall be downloaded from the College website and filled out the application form only through online mode, i.e., www.ucms.ac.in, with the fee amounting to Rs.1000 (Rs.500 in case of SC/ST/PWBD) through online fee payment, i.e. (www.ucms.ac.in/common/onlinepayment) before the last date, i.e., 5th May 2023.

2. The candidate advises taking the printout of the filled application forms for future reference. AT present no need to send any HARD COPY of the application form to the College; it will be demanded during the counseling.

3. Application fee shall not be refunded under any circumstances, i.e., whether the candidate appears or does not appear in the examination or their application is rejected on any grounds. No correspondence on this matter shall be entertained.

4. Incomplete application forms shall not be considered. The College does not take any responsibility for any technical glitch during the full-up of the form.

5. All columns in the application form must be filled up in Block Letter carefully and legibly. Incomplete application forms or those not containing the required enclosures shall be summarily rejected.

6. A self-attested true copy of Matriculation/ Sec. School Examination certificate issued by the University/ Board showing the candidate's date of birth. (No other evidence for the candidate's date of birth shall be accepted).

7. A self attested true copy of the certificate & mark sheet from the University/Board from the Principal/Head of the School from which the candidate passed their last examination or any other qualifying exam given in para (ii) to (iv) under Admission Criteria Eligibility.

8. An attested true copy of the character certificate of good conduct from the Principal/ Head of the College/ Institution last attended.

9. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD should attach a copy of the certificate for their claim.

10. Disability candidates, while applying for the course, should enclose a copy of a Disability Certificate issued by a duly notified Medical Board of a District/Govt. The hospital was set up for examining physically challenged candidates under the provision of the person with a disability (equal opportunity protection of the right of full participation) Act 1995.

11. If a Person with a disability (PWD) candidate also belongs to SC, ST, or OBC category, he/she should also enclose an appropriate certificate along with the application form.

Eligibility -

A candidate who is an Indian citizens are eligible for admission to the course if they fulfils the following requirements –

1. Age on admission - An Applicant should have attained or will attain the age of 17 (seventeen) years as on or before 31st Dec., 2023. Candidates attaining 17 years of age on 1st Jan. of the subsequent year or later will not be eligible to appear at the competitive Entrance Examination.

2. The candidates must have passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system as a regular student, conducted by the CBSE/Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination/ Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi (Candidates who have passed 12th from Patrachar Vidhalaya or National Institute of Open Schooling will not be eligible), recognized school conducted regular classes of 11th and 12th standard & situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi only, will be eligible for admission with the required subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry, (including Organic Chemistry), Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English (core or elective) securing minimum of 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC category candidates) in aggregate in these subjects. In respect of the candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% for Gen-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required.

3. Candidates who have appeared/passed 10+2 Examination with X-ray Technology in vocational scheme conducted by the CBSE, New Delhi, with minimum 50% marks (40% in case of SC/ST /OBC) will also be eligible for Entrance Examination.

4. The candidate must have passed Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English examinations both in theory and practical separately.

5. Certificate/Diploma in X-ray Technology of atleast two year duration conducted in Delhi recognized by a Board/University with minimum 50% marks.

The candidates shall not be eligible for admission to the B.Sc. (Medical Technology) Radiology at the time of counseling on the following condition –

1. If they does not pass the qualify examination i.e. 12th standard with required pass percentage of marks.

2. If they are placed under compartment.

3. If they are re-appearing for improvement.

The candidates, who are yet to appear in the supplementary examination of the qualifying course at the time of entrance examination, shall not be considered eligible for the competitive examination.

Competitive entrance examination –

1. All the candidates who are found provisionally eligible as per details stated under criteria of eligibility shall be required to appear in the entrance examination which shall be conducted by the University of Delhi on Saturday, 20th May, 2023 at UCMS and GTB Hospital, Delhi-110095.

2. Any candidate provisionally allowed to appear at the Entrance Test and found ineligible at the later stage of admission process shall not be offered the admission.

3. The examination shall be of 90 minutes duration, and shall consist of one paper containing multiple choice questions.

4. Admit cards will be sent to the candidates through college website (www.ucms.ac.in) by 15th May 2023 (tentatively). If the candidates does not receive (or unable to download) their Entrance Examination admit card, they are required to report at Academic Section, Room No. 210, Second Floor, UCMS to get their Admit Card on 18th May, 2023. But at the time of collection of Admit Card, the candidate must produce a valid I.D proof having his/her photograph.

5. No candidates shall be admitted to the Examination Hall, unless they hold admit card issued by the College.

6. The general standard of the competitive Entrance examination will be that of 12th Class under the 10+2 scheme.

7. The entrance test will consist of one paper containing objective type (multiple choice questions) in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, (including Organic Chemistry), Biology (Botany and Zoology).

8. The medium of examination will be English.

9. Reporting time 10.00 AM

10. Candidates to occupy the allotted seats 10.30 AM

11. Issue of test booklets 10.45 AM

12. Candidates shall write their particulars on the cover page of the booklet in ink/ball pen without breaking the seal of the test booklet.

13. Breaking/Opening the seal of the test booklet.

14. Examination starts : 11.00 AM

15. Examination concludes : 12.30 PM

16. The candidates reporting late shall be permitted to enter the Examination Hall up to 10.30 AM.

17. The candidates shall bring their own black ball point pens.

Duration - The duration of the course is three academic years.

Reservation - The Reservation Roster for admission in respect of SC/ST/OBC/EWS and PWD candidates shall be followed as per Government of India and University of Delhi. The reservation will be given based on candidates belonging to SC/ST category, candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC) category, reservations under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) applicants, and PWD- candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped (PH) category. The details related to each category are enclosed in the notice below.

Fee and other charges –

The total fee to be paid is Rs 6445.00. The detailed fee structure is enclosed in the notice below.
